WE NEED THIRD PARTIES. Here at Balladeer’s Blog I am still soaking in the ongoing revolution in the thought processes of my fellow voters, more and more of them expressing their disgust with the two rival gangs of white-collar criminals called Democrats and Republicans.
My fellow former Democrats have even formed #WALKAWAY, an entire movement devoted to leaving that party which has betrayed the working class and the poor to pander to their big-money donors.
Part of the fascinating change in the political discourse in real life is the way former or estranged Republicans openly discuss their anger with the way their party still proceeds as if profits mean more than anything else. With the way the party hierarchy pretends that cronyism, inside dealing and nepotism represent a “free market” when it represents nothing of the kind.
Even pundits long associated with the political right now openly bash political “chamber of commerce” types and greedy Republican donors who refuse to enforce immigration laws so that illegals will depress wages and thereby increase the profits for the one-percenters.
Sentiments like that would have been rejected by nearly every Republican voter as “communist” ideas long ago but in recent years more and more of them push back against the bloated rich pigs at the top and point out that economic advantages for the blue bloods are not worth sacrificing everything and everyone else in the country.
Former Republicans have begun to realize why so many of us former Democrats openly despised the CIA, NSA and FBI going way back. Seeing the way that our counterproductive and/or criminal intelligence agencies are nothing but enforcers for the extremely wealthy and the politically connected has opened their eyes.
Similarly, seeing the way that the 21st Century Robber Barons in Silicon Valley abuse their wealth and influence to support only left-wing politicians has made those former conservatives realize why so many working class and poor people despised Robber Barons of the past for abusing their wealth and influence to support only right-wing politicians.
All of which is my roundabout way of getting back to KURT SCHLICHTER. That lawyer and former military man has been among the most outspoken when it comes to pointing out how the Republican establishment regularly sells out their own constituents. Here are excerpts from one of his latest columns followed by a link to the full item.
As you read, remember this is the type of man who years ago likely would have rejected the sentiments he is now expressing as the notions of fanatics who simply “resent the wealthy” (as Republicans used to dismiss any and all arguments pointing out the abuses by the elite).

DAY TWO, GAME ONE – The FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY STAGS took on the OAKLAND (MI) UNIVERSITY GOLDEN GRIZZLIES. Andrew Bulmer of the Stags got an unassisted Goal in the 1st Period, which ended with his team up 1-0. In the 2nd Period Cale Denison’s Power Play Goal tied the score at 1-1. Neither team scored in the 3rd Period, sending things into Overtime, in which Fairfield U won the game 2-1 off a Kyle Marano Goal 8:46 into the extra session. Stags Goalie Nick Lanni stopped 40 of 41 Shots on Goal. 
DAY TWO, GAME TWO – The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS clashed with the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT MILWAUKEE PANTHERS. The Bulls were chasing the Panthers 3-0 at the end of the 1st Period. In the 2nd Period the University of South Florida pulled to within 3-2 before going on to win the game 6-3 in the 3rd. The winning Goalie was Samuel Coleman of the Bulls with 30 stops on 33 Shots on Goal. 
SLAUGHTER HIGH/ APRIL FOOL’S DAY (1986) – This is the low-budget horror film made in England and set on April Fool’s Day. There are still VHS tapes and YouTube videos that show the original title, but the title was changed to Slaughter High because of the year’s OTHER April Fool’s Day slasher film with a gimmick ending.
After an April Fool’s Day “prank” involving nudity, electric shocks and near drowning, Marty is still alive through no fault of his classmates. The supposed popular kids get punished for their criminal assault on Marty, and perversely blame him for it! It’s that kind of movie. Hell, Marty’s tormentors were caught in the act, it’s not even like he peached on them (since this was made in England I couldn’t resist writing “peached on them”). 
DAY ONE, GAME TWO – Canada’s SAULT COLLEGE COUGARS, making the Tournament in their very first year of ACHA play, clashed with the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT MILWAUKEE PANTHERS. In this catfight-that- wasn’t the Cougars made the Panthers their prison brides, leading them 2-1 in the 1st Period and 7-1 in the 2nd Period before putting them away in the 3rd by a blowout score of 10-1. Sault College Goalie Drew Gregory got the win, stopping 17 of 18 Shots on Goal. 
DAY ONE, GAME THREE – The Upset-Minded GRAND VALLEY STATE LAKERS took the ice against the AIR FORCE ACADEMY FALCONS in this game. The opening Period saw the Falcons grab a 2-0 lead before the Lakers came back to go on top 3-2. In the 2nd Period the two teams exchanged Goals, making the score 4-3. Grand Valley State got out to a 6-3 advantage in the 3rd before winning the game 6-4. Reidar Burgeson led the Lakers with 3 of their Goals, while Goalie Jared Myers logged the W stopping 18 of 22 Shots on Goal. 
PART THREE: The third surviving Fool Killer Letter. (See Part One for an explanation) 
JUNE 28th, 1861 – From “Down about Norfolk, VA.” (The Fool Killer wandered North Carolina and Virginia – which back then still included what is now West Virginia – and the dark-humored Fool Killer Letters were syndicated in several newspapers in addition to his North Carolina “birth place” the Milton Chronicle.) 
In this letter the Fool Killer adds a collection of Bowie knives to his arsenal alongside his ever-present club/ walking stick/ cudgel. Future incarnations of the Fool Killer in folk tales, short stories, novels and plays will assign him various axes, guns and even a scythe. Comic book depictions will add weapons like a sword and a high-tech “Purification Gun” which shoots white energy blasts of undetermined nature. 
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top seeded NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE BEARCATS were trying to win the title AND remain undefeated for the entire Season as they clashed with the 6 seeds – the POINT LOMA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY SEA LIONS. 
And the hits! Keep! Coming! President Donald Trump, the new FDR, JFK, Harry Truman and Theodore Roosevelt, continues his destruction of the Democrats’ delicate “narratives.” Despite the way privileged white Democrats try to paint him as anti-Hispanic, the polls that Democrats live by now show at least 50% of Hispanic voters have a favorable impression of him. He continues to make similar inroads into the black vote AND he has more female senior advisors than Obama, Bush and Clinton did! 
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 6th seeded MINOT STATE BEAVERS were looking for their second National Championship as they took the ice against the 5 seeds – the IOWA STATE CYCLONES – in the title game of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association). 
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top seeds – the FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY EAGLES – furthered their case for being called a Dynasty as they battled the 3rd seeded NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY HUSKIES for the D2 crown. The Eagles were the Defending Champions and were going for their 4th title in the past 8 years.
