COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF RESULTS FROM NOVEMBER 27th

Northwestern College Red RaidersFIRST QUARTERFINAL – The NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS took the field against the MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS. The Red Raiders led 6-3 in the 1st Quarter and 19-10 come Halftime. In the 3rd Quarter the Knights pulled to within 19-17 before Northwestern College won out in the 4th 25-20.

HELMETGrand_View_IASECOND QUARTERFINAL – In this game the GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS played the CONCORDIA (MI) CARDINALS. A 7-3 Cardinals edge in the opening Quarter became a 17-10 Vikings lead at the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended with Concordia University trailing by just 17-16 but it was all Grand View U in the 4th as the Knights won the game 31-16. Continue reading

THE NATIONAL CHAMPION MATCHUP IN NJCAA DIVISION THREE FOOTBALL SET

COLLEGE FOOTBALL POSTSEASON RESULTS FROM NOVEMBER 20th

southwestern assemblies of god helmetVICTORY BOWL – The season-ending event in the NCCAA saw the SOUTHWESTERN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD UNIVERSITY LIONS take on the STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS this year. The Lions grabbed a 10-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and by Halftime held a 17-7 advantage over the Warriors. After the break SAGU outscored Sterling College 14-7 for a 31-14 triumph.

NAIA PLAYOFFS

Keiser SeahawksROUND ONE: GAME ONE – The KEISER UNIVERSITY SEA HAWKS took it on the road against the REINHARDT UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Rottweilers). After a scoreless opening Quarter Reinhardt U led 6-3 at the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Sea Hawks on top 10-6 and the game ended in a 16-13 win for Keiser University.

Marian Knights helmet newROUND ONE: GAME TWO – In this game the MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS welcomed the SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE MOUNDBUILDERS. The Knights led 6-3 in the 1st Quarter but the Moundbuilders were out in front 17-6 by the midpoint. Marian U made it a 17-14 game in the 3rd Quarter before coming from behind in the 4th to win it 21-17. Continue reading

BOWL GAMES ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 20th

NEW ENGLAND BOWL GAME ONE

alfred state helmetHELMETMASSDARTMOUTHThe UMASS AT DARTMOUTH CORSAIRS will take on the ALFRED STATE PIONEERS in the first of two games called the New England Bowl. The Corsairs are in their first Bowl Game since 2004, while the Pioneers are playing in their first Bowl Game ever.

Kickoff is set for 1:00PM Eastern Time.

NEW ENGLAND BOWL GAME TWO

Western New England College helmetMerchant Marine AcademyIn the second game of the New England Bowl Series, the UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY MARINERS will face the WESTERN NEW ENGLAND UNIVERSITY GOLDEN BEARS. The Mariners last played in the New England Bowl in 2018 while the Golden Bears are making their debut appearance.

NAIA FOOTBALL PLAYOFF TEAMS SET PLUS VICTORY BOWL MATCHUP ANNOUNCED

Sterling helmetsouthwestern assemblies of god helmetVICTORY BOWL – The season-ending event in the NCCAA will be played this coming Saturday November 20th with kickoff scheduled for 1PM Eastern Time. The game will be played at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie, TX.

This year’s Victory Bowl will pit the SOUTHWESTERN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD UNIVERSITY LIONS, making their third appearance in the game, against the STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS, making their debut appearance.

NAIA PLAYOFFS: FIRST ROUND MATCHUPS

Montana Western helmetLindsey_Wilson_KYThe (1) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS will host the (16) UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA-WESTERN BULLDOGS. The Blue Raiders are the defending National Champions as well as the champions of the Mid-South Conference’s Bluegrass Division. The Bulldogs are the champions of the Frontier Conference.

Kickoff will be at 1:30PM Eastern Time.

Ottawa (AZ) SpiritMorningside MustangsThe (2) MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS will host the (15) OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (AZ) SPIRIT. The Mustangs are the champions of the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Spirit are the champions of the Sooner Athletic Conference.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM NOVEMBER 13th

HEADLINES

West Florida Argonauts helmetFOUR OVER TWO – In NCAA Division Two the 4th ranked defending national champions, the UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA ARGONAUTS, welcomed the number 2 team in the nation – the VALDOSTA STATE BLAZERS. By Halftime the Argonauts held a 24-21 edge over the Blazers. The 3rd Quarter ended with the University of West Florida on top 45-35 before putting it away in the 4th, 61-42.

Southwestern College Moundbuilders NEWDOWN GOES NUMBER FIVE – Over in the NAIA the number 13 SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE MOUNDBUILDERS took it on the road to battle the 5th ranked KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY COYOTES. The Coyotes led 7-0 in the opening Quarter but the Moundbuilders were up 13-7 at the break. Southwestern College had a 28-21 advantage in the 3rd Quarter and ultimately won the game 42-24.

Merchant Marine AcademySERVICE ACADEMY MANIA – This game pitted the UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY MARINERS against their archrivals the COAST GUARD ACADEMY BEARS. The Mariners seized a quick 21-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back from there. In the end they embarrassed the Bears by a score of 49-14 in their own house. Continue reading

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM NOVEMBER 6th

HEADLINES

Morningside MustangsTHREE OVER TWO – In the NAIA the number 3 team in the nation – the MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS – traveled to face the 2nd ranked NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS. The Mustangs led 14-10 in the 1st Quarter but the Red Raiders went up 26-24 by Halftime. Morningside College went back on top 34-33 to end the 3rd Quarter before cementing the Upset in the 4th with a 55-49 win.

Central Methodist University Eagles helmet NEWNUMBER FIVE TAKES A FALL – Staying in the NAIA for a moment, the CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY EAGLES welcomed America’s 5th ranked BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS. The Eagles put the Wildcats on Upset Alert at the break with a 7-6 edge, then led 14-12 in the 3rd Quarter and won out in the end 21-19.  

Southeastern Oklahoma Savage StormDOWN GOES NUMBER SIX – Over in NCAA Division Two the SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE SAVAGE STORM visited the country’s number 6 team – the OUACHITA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY TIGERS. The Savage Storm parlayed a 7-0 opening Quarter lead into a 28-7 advantage at the Half. After the break SOSU held off the Tigers to win the game 35-21.

Lake Forest ForestersEIGHTY-FOUR – Down in NCAA Division Three the LAKE FOREST COLLEGE FORESTERS played host to the BELOIT COLLEGE BUCCANEERS yesterday. By the midpoint of the game the Foresters held an amazing 56-3 lead. They never looked back from there, ultimately triumphing by a final score of EIGHTY-FOUR to THREE. Continue reading

HELMETWASHINGTONLEEGENERALS CONQUER DIVISION TWO – NCAA Division Three’s WASHINGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY GENERALS took it on the road to face NCAA Division Two’s EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE WASPS. (This is like when an FCS team upsets an FBS team) A 7-7 1st Quarter tie became a 21-14 edge for the Wasps at Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Generals up 24-21 before winning the game 30-28. 

Valdosta_StTUSSLE IN THE TOP FOUR – Up in NCAA Division Two the number 2 team in the nation – the VALDOSTA STATE BLAZERS – welcomed the 4th ranked UNIVERSITY OF WEST GEORGIA WOLVES. The Blazers held a 27-13 lead by the Half. The Wolves pulled to within 33-27 in the 3rd Quarter, with their rally falling just short in the 4th as Valdosta State held on for a 36-34 victory.

Lindsey_Wilson_KYEASY AS ONE, TWO, THREE – Over in the NAIA the (1) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS won 41-30 at the (22) BETHEL (TN) WILDCATS   ###   The (2) NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS obliterated the visiting (20) DORDT UNIVERSITY DEFENDERS 63-28   ###   And the (3) MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS utterly annihilated the UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES 70-7. shenandoah hornetsSHENANDOAH CONQUERS DIVISION TWO – NCAA Division Three’s SHENANDOAH UNIVERSITY HORNETS borrowed a page from assorted NAIA teams by toppling a higher division team. The Hornets welcomed NCAA Division Two’s EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE WASPS and in the ensuing defensive epic pulled out a 9-7 victory.

Colorado Mesa Mavericks helmetKNOCKING OFF NUMBER THREE – In NCAA Division Two the COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY MAVERICKS welcomed the number 3 team in the nation – the COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES OREDIGGERS. After a 7-7 1st Quarter tie the Orediggers were up 21-16 at Halftime. From there the Mavericks shut them out and won the game 26-21.
