We need alternate political parties here in the United States. The working class and the poor are ignored and demonized by both major political parties. Yes, there was a time when things were different but pretending nothing changed won’t help the situation. Both major parties are corporate-owned.
It’s difficult to remember a time before it became a hopeless cause. Let’s take a brief look at November 15th of 2016, when the British news outlet the Guardian of all papers acknowledged how the Democrats of 2016 had more in common with Republican pigs like the Bush Family and the Cheneys than they did with former Democrat presidents like Franklin Roosevelt or John F. Kennedy.
Back in that November the Guardian (link below) observed “The Democratic party once represented the working class. But over the last three decades the party has been taken over by Washington-based fundraisers, bundlers, analysts, and pollsters who have focused instead on raising campaign money from corporate and Wall Street executives and getting votes from upper middle-class households in “swing” suburbs.” Continue reading
