Yes, Faculty Lounge Fascists and Left-Wing Archie Bunkers from the 1960s generation have transformed America’s colleges and universities into churches for irrational thought. Evergreen State is the most prominent example right now.

In my most recent blog post about this increasingly undeniable state of affairs I quoted from and linked to a New York Times item. This time I’m linking to a Takimag item. The link to that Jim Goad piece is below, but first some excerpts:
“The school (Evergreen State) bears the dubious distinction of being “one of the least selective universities in the nation with an admittance rate of 98%.”
“Over the past couple weeks, Evergreen has leapfrogged over Yale, Mizzou, and even Berkeley to become the most eagerly self-castrating school of higher learning in the US of A.”
“This year, due to caterwauling among Students of Color that they felt unsafe on the campus due to Donald Trump’s election—despite the statistical possibility that not a single teacher nor student on the entire campus voted for Trump or even dared to utter one public word in support of him—the Day of Absence’s organizers attempted to flip the script.
“Instead of the usual routine, which involved black students effectively playing hooky, white students were encouraged to stay off campus, where they could attend workshops that scrubbed their brains clean of any self-interest and instead filled their crania with wholesome and forward-looking feelings of self-loathing.
“This rankled biology teacher Bret Weinstein, a self-proclaimed anti-racist Jewish progressive who at least has the clarity of thought to realize that Critical Race Theory is an ideology rather than an eternal truth.”
Be sure to watch the video of George Bridges, Evergreen State’s President – and in my opinion a man with no self-respect or backbone of any kind. At one point the Evergreen State Fascists freak out over the way Bridges is talking with his hands.
For those of you not in the know, the irrational, emotional cripples who pretend to be college students in 21st Century America have for years been making a big deal out of feeling “unsafe” JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE MIGHT TALK WITH THEIR HANDS.
WHAT KIND OF HELPLESS IMBECILES CAN’T HANDLE SOMEONE TALKING WITH THEIR HANDS? Don’t worry, though, Bridges is such a craven coward that HE OBEDIENTLY TUCKS HIS HANDS OUT OF SIGHT to avoid … doing whatever such a thing does to the brainless students at Evergreen State.

THE FOOD OF THE GODS was very loosely based on part of H.G. Wells’ novel of the same name. It was directed by Bert I Gordon, “Mr B.I.G.” himself. Gordon’s Village of the Giants, about a gang of giant-sized teenagers, was likewise loosely based on an often-forgotten section of that novel.
This movie starred Marjoe Gortner, the child evangelist turned B-movie legend, as football star Morgan (no fuller name given), who travels to a remote Canadian island for a vacation. Unfortunately, thanks to a very embarrassed- looking Ida Lupino, her farm animals plus other wild life have begun eating “the Food of the Gods”, a white substance from deep in the Earth. That food has caused various forms of animal and insect life to grow to enormous size, setting up the usual rampage scenes from Bert I Gordon films. Continue reading

Avengers’ Roster: THOR (Donald Blake, MD), IRON MAN (Tony Stark), CAPTAIN AMERICA (Steve Rogers), THE SCARLET WITCH (Wanda – last name unknown at the time of this story), THE BLACK PANTHER (Prince T’Challa), THE VISION (Not applicable), THE SWORDSMAN (Jacques Duquesne) and MANTIS (Name unknown at the time).
NIGHT OF THE COLLECTOR
Synopsis: The Avengers arrive back in New York after wrapping up their usual post-battle debriefing and press conference regarding their just-concluded adventure from last time around. Since the team was in Los Angeles without their Quin-Jet (if you recall Dr Strange teleported the Avengers and Defenders to LA) they borrowed an aircraft from S.H.I.E.L.D.
The eight Avengers – accompanied by Loki, helpless and insane from what happened in the Dark Dimension – land the borrowed aircraft on the roof of Avengers’ mansion and exit from it. Exhausted, the heroes forgot that the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport did not have their Quin-Jet’s setting for disarming the defense systems of Avengers Mansion.
Now, just to jam in an early action sequence, the automatic defenses of the mansion activate and attack the Avengers until the Black Panther succeeds in penetrating to the cut-off switch. The Scarlet Witch, obviously feeling feisty after her defeat of Dormammu last time, chews out her fellow Avengers for forgetting that the borrowed aircraft did not have the necessary tech. California President Hillary Clinton has become a caricature of herself! Her frantic “Blame Everybody Else For Me Losing” Tour continues! I attended Crooked Hillary’s performance last night. Her one-woman show is titled The Hatred That Seethes Within Me Will Animate My Crooked, Rotted Carcass Long Enough To Run Again in 2020.
Wow! And you thought The Effect of Gamma Rays On Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds was a mouthful! Anyway, Hillary was on her game, which of course means that she drank constantly, slurred her words, fell down a lot, had long coughing jags, then lied and lied and lied over and over again.
It’s rare for real life to feature a vile figure like Hillary getting her comeuppance so enjoy it! The whole world should be grateful that United States President Donald Trump kept both Hillary Clinton AND Jeb Bush out of the Oval Office!

MAHAKA & KOTOFETSY – Trickster deities to the Merina people of Madagascar. Mahaka and Kotofetsy are depicted like Coyote is depicted in Native American myths. In some tales their deceptive nature is applauded and in others condemned.
On occasion Merina people who prided themselves on their own wit and trickery would try to outdo Mahaka and Kotofetsy. In one myth the pair transform themselves into old men to put their adversary at ease, only to trick him out of everything he owns, right down to his clothing. The defeated man runs home naked, pursued by a jeering mob.
Other myths involving the pair:
Mahaka and Kotofetsy frame a would-be antagonist for sorcery, causing him to be beaten with sticks by his neighbors, who think he has desecrated their loved one’s tomb. Continue reading

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: The WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY GOLDEN RAMS and the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SAN DIEGO TRITONS were the last two teams standing in the D2 World Series. After the Golden Rams grabbed a quick 1-0 edge in the 1st Inning the Tritons responded by tying the score at 1-1 in the 2nd.
The 3rd Inning saw West Chester University go back on top by a count of 2-1 and this time it took the pursuing UC-San Diego all the way til the 6th Inning to knot up the score at 2-2. The Golden Rams drove in 1 more run in the 7th Inning and 2 more in the 8th for a 5-2 victory for Pitcher Josh McClain. * THE GOLDEN RAMS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NCAA DIVISION TWO * Continue reading

FUNGUS ISLE (1923) – Written by Philip M Fisher. Fungus Isle has the same proto-Creature Feature feel to it that The True Inheritors (qv) had. In the case of the previously reviewed story it was a forerunner of various giant spider flicks. In the case of Fungus Isle it seems like the inspiration for Attack of the Mushroom People, aka Matango, the Fungus of Terror.
A handful of friends find themselves shipwrecked on an uncharted island near New Guinea. The island is crawling with various types of fungus and our protagonists eventually encounter some fungi that are nearly humanoid and can walk.
The spores shot out by the fungi cling to human flesh, eventually accumulating to the point where they completely cover the body. Salt water serves as an effective remedy to clean off the spores but there is no food on the island except mushrooms. Continue reading
