CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: The WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY GOLDEN RAMS and the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SAN DIEGO TRITONS were the last two teams standing in the D2 World Series. After the Golden Rams grabbed a quick 1-0 edge in the 1st Inning the Tritons responded by tying the score at 1-1 in the 2nd.
The 3rd Inning saw West Chester University go back on top by a count of 2-1 and this time it took the pursuing UC-San Diego all the way til the 6th Inning to knot up the score at 2-2. The Golden Rams drove in 1 more run in the 7th Inning and 2 more in the 8th for a 5-2 victory for Pitcher Josh McClain. * THE GOLDEN RAMS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NCAA DIVISION TWO *

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: The CCCAA title was being fought over by the GROSSMONT COLLEGE GRIFFINS and the defending champion SANTA ROSA COLLEGE BEAR CUBS. After 2 scoreless Innings the Griffins took a 2-1 lead in the 3rd and that became a 4-2 advantage in the 4th.
Neither team scored again until the 7th Inning, which ended with the Bear Cubs having pulled to within 6-5. From there Grossmont College slammed in 4 additional runs while Santa Rosa College could only muster 1. The Griffins won it by a final score of 10-6. Pitcher Jeremiah Barr picked up the W. * THE GRIFFINS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE CCCAA *
