AL SHARPTON IS OUTRAGED THAT NONE OF THE BEATLES WERE BLACK

Hatemonger Al “Tawana Brawley Scandal” Sharpton, the Grand Wizard of Black Bigotry, took time out from failing to properly read the teleprompter on his own show to blither  about a manufactured grievance.

Sharpton is the leading exponent of the movement Black Lies Matter, which encourages lying like in the aforementioned Tawana Brawley Scandal and the discredited “Hands up, don’t shoot” nonsense. Even after turning Little Barry Obama into their prison bride at the recent “negotiations” (LMFAO) the mad mullahs of Iran can’t stop pounding him into the dirt like the rank Chicago crook that he is. They’ve gone public with the way Obama is lying to Congress and the citizenry about the deal they just beat out of Little Barry’s worthless little hide. Nobody to root for here. Insane religious zealots on one side and the worst president in U.S. history on the other.

Another year and another drop for the United States on Reporters Without Borders’ rankings of press freedom around the world. We USED TO take pride in our freedoms, especially our formerly vigorous free press. Unfortunately the Obama administration’s persecution of reporters who dare to depart from the official White House line has gutted press freedom. Welcome back to Balladeer’s Blog, the only site on the web that criticizes both Liberals and Conservatives equally. Even for a sleazy Chicago politician Barack Obama has been caught in an unending avalanche of lies from his campaign biography to all the outrageous untruths that have characterized his entire term in office. 

This weak, inept and crooked little man has been caught in lie after lie after lie and has outdone even Nixon in terms of scandals and Harding in terms of corruption. Obama’s incompetence has earned him a name as the Worst U.S. President in History. That plus his general “masochism as foreign policy” approach made me decide to run with a Balladeer’s Blog look at how this Democratic version of Richard Nixon might have handled the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. 

For starters Little Barry would have been too busy with golfing, fundraisers and tentative spin doctoring to even address the nation until sometime around January 24th, 1942. And that’s being optimistic.

Christoph Waltz will be portraying the malevolent madman known for killing Bond’s wife of one day Teresa Draco-Bond, for running a suicide garden in Japan, for his biological warfare agents and for much more.

MARIKAS (circa 421 B.C.): ANCIENT GREEK COMEDY

EupolisBalladeer’s Blog presents another look at an ancient Greek Comedy. This time around it’s one written by Eupolis who – along with Aristophanes and Cratinus – was one of the Big Three of Attic Old Comedy.

MARIKAS (c 421 B.C.) – This was the second comedy to emerge in the new subgenre of Attic Old Comedy called “the Demagogue Comedy”. Aristophanes led the way a few years earlier with The Knights, his comedy attacking the politician Cleon. The play Marikas finds Eupolis attacking the demagogue Hyperbolus, whose reputation for character assassination by way of overstatement lives on in our language by way of the word “hyperbole”.  

As with most ancient Greek comedies Marikas has survived only in fragmentary form. Those fragments, along with contemporary references in surviving works, provide what is known about the play. Marikas, the title character, was used by Eupolis to represent the politician Hyperbolus the same way Aristophanes had used the Paphlagonian to represent Cleon in The Knights. Continue reading →

Balladeer’s Blog: Right off the top, what are your thoughts on the upcoming midterms?

Democratic Party: Well, our greatest weakness is being associated with Barack Obama, who is an albatross we’ll try to increasingly separate ourselves from. I gather you noticed how some of our Congressional candidates are even refusing to say if they voted for Little Barry in 2008 and 2012. 

BB: I have, but don’t worry – the networks have been avoiding covering that fact. 

DP: (laughs) Yeah, thankfully the Republicans were so stupid they decided long ago not to spend the money necessary to keep up with us in the media arms race. Anything at all damaging to our candidates is always confined to the boondocks of Fox News Channel and talk radio.  Continue reading →
