A TERRIFIC PIECE ON THE GAP BETWEEN THE CORRUPT ESTABLISHMENT AND THE REST OF US

mascot new look donkey and elephant headsIn 2016 Balladeer’s Blog pointed out several times that the only hope for the opening steps in recognizing and addressing the rampant corruption in America’s Third World Level thugocracy would be if either Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders miraculously won the Presidency.

I knew that a victory by either of them would force the dropping of the façade, sort of like the scrambling of insects when a rock is turned over. Sadly, Bernie has shown that he would have sold out to the establishment immediately – and very cheaply if you look at how easily the Democrats bribed him into cooperation, despite his fiery but phony pose. As Hillary would point out, she may be a whore but at least she isn’t a CHEAP one like Bernie.

The events since the election, from the Democrats threatening the safety and lives of the members of the Electoral College by publicly posting their addresses on up through the ongoing Mueller Witch Hunt have shown the real nature of the career criminals called Democrats and Republicans. President Trump – the new FDR and the new JFK – is truly a de facto Third Party President.

Mascot with demo and repub headsI’ve been inundated with (unsought) congratulations by people from both sides who used to think I was overly pessimistic about the cesspool that has masqueraded as a government in the U.S. for several decades. They’ve been graciously telling me that they’ve seen – in the frantic reaction to President Trump’s attempts to Drain the Swamp – verification of everything I’ve said over the years about the white collar criminals called career politicians.

That’s very nice of those people, but I don’t require or expect any personal acknowledgements – the best you can do if you feel that way is openly share your observations with others. The numbers of “woke” people on this subject seem to grow exponentially by the day. Unfortunately, too many of them are still too easily browbeaten into silence.

At any rate, here’s a piece by Tom Trinko, another person like myself who has grown disgusted with Democrats and their “my political party right or wrong” attitude. (As always I think we need Third Parties since Republicans are no better.) The link is below, but first some excerpts:

There are currently two worlds: one for the rich, leftists, and the Deep State actors, and one for the average American.  Here are some of the differences:

Their World:

Hillary can pay Russians, who may be working for the Russian government, for unconfirmed dirt on Trump and use that dirt during the campaign as well as using it to get the government to spy on Trump for her, but it’s not collusion.

Our World:
Trump is guilty of collusion even though there is not a shred of evidence that he did anything wrong.

Their World:
Bill Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch while Lynch is supposedly investigating his wife is perfectly okay.

Our World:
Trump asking, but not ordering, James Comey to go easy on Flynn just as Comey went easy on Hillary is obstruction of justice.

Their World:
Obama can ignore federal court orders to restart issuing permits for drilling in the Gulf and to stop issuing DACA waivers.

Our World:
One random federal judge can stop the president from doing what the Constitution says the president can do.

Their World:
Obama can rescind every executive order Bush made.

Our World:
Obama is a super-president whose executive orders can’t be overturned by Trump

Their World:
A Russian oligarch who contributes $25,000,000 to Hillary’s foundation is cool.

Our World:
The same oligarch giving $150,000 to Trump’s foundation is cause for a federal investigation. Continue reading

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH: 1907 NOVEL

friday-the-thirteenth-novelFRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH (1907) – Written by Thomas William Lawson, a writer and stock manipulator who made a fortune from shady stock deals … in between advocating for cleaning up Wall Street to shut down those fleece jobs. The reforms Lawson campaigned for were taken up decades later when Franklin Roosevelt appointed future Supreme Court Justice William O Douglas to head the Securities Exchange Commission.

Coincidentally enough the overall feel of Friday the Thirteenth put me in mind of FDR’s cousin, Theodore Roosevelt. The novel did that with its New York setting, with the way the story takes place late in T.R.’s presidency and most especially with the way it dealt with ethics in the marketplace.

lawson-cartoon-betterJim Randolph, one of the novel’s main characters, is in the T.R. mold: he may be a bloated rich pig but at least he’s a bloated rich pig with a sense of noblesse oblige. Jim shares Teddy Roosevelt’s disdain for the Trusts and for con men who use the stock market to rip off their clients.

It’s not as if Jim Randolph is as fiery as Teddy Forstmann was in his opposition to Leveraged Buy Outs during the 1980s, but like Forstmann he has a sense of what makes for a healthy economy and frowns upon the fly-by-night operators who thrive on irresponsible “frenzied finance” as Randolph calls it.   Continue reading

LLOYD MARCUS ON MURKY MUELLER AND HIS ILK

lloyd-marcus-2Murky Mueller and his criminal cohorts had a busy week. I’ve already weighed in on it but here’s a take from folk hero Lloyd Marcus.

As a non-believer I don’t share his religious beliefs, but he’s a courageous and iconoclastic figure. The link is below, but first some excerpts:

“Raiding the office of the personal attorney of the president of the United States is the most outrageous of the Deep State’s unprecedented, unhinged, and relentless attempts to overturn the 2016 election.  This raid should tell everyone that the Deep State will twist and bend the law to get rid of Trump.” Continue reading

EVIL CLUTCH (1988): MICRO-REVIEW

Mascot FOUR original pics

Balladeer’s Blog

THIS THING IS SUCH A RIPOFF IT DOESN’T EVEN DESERVE TO HAVE ITS OWN POSTER SHOWN.

EVIL CLUTCH (1988) – Whatever movie you THINK is the worst Evil Dead ripoff, you’ll likely have second thoughts if you’re unfortunate enough to see Evil Clutch. This awful movie’s original Italian title was Il Bosco and it has literally NO entertainment value of its own.

A creepy-looking Italian couple – the woman pretending to be American – encounter even creepier people in an isolated woodland community in the Alps. Everything that happens from there is simply an excuse to stage inept imitations of scenes from the Evil Dead.

And I don’t mean that it borrows a few things, like the roaming POV shots and the concept of some people getting possessed by ancient evil forces. Countless shots are literally just restagings of the memorable scenes from the earlier Sam Raimi/ Bruce Campbell/ Rob Tapert film. And the restagings are more like very, very cheap imitations, as if some amateurs had a little fun trying to match the makeup and primitive special effects from their inspiration. Continue reading

POLO: U.S. OPEN – GAMES ONE AND TWO

Balladeer’s Blog’s coverage of the world’s OLDEST team sport continues with this look at the first two clashes in this year’s 115th U.S. Open.

FlexJet polo shirtGAME ONE: FLEXJET VS COLORADO – Part of the fun of Polo is the way that men and women often play on the same team. In this instance, Melissa Ganzi led Flexjet – Official Balladeer’s Blog Nickname: The Aviators – against Colorado – Official Balladeer’s Blog Nickname: The Red Sleeves.

FIRST CHUKKER – This opening Chukker was VERY defense-oriented, with only one Goal being scored. That lone Goal was knocked between the Uprights by Flexjet, as the Aviators grabbed a 1-0 lead.

SECOND CHUKKER – Defense was still the watchword in this Chukker, but as a sign that both offenses were beginning to find their rhythm, each team swatted in a Goal this time around. The Flexjet lead over Colorado now stood at 2-1.

THIRD CHUKKER – The Red Sleeves made some major noise now, outscoring the Aviators 3 Goals to 1 in what was still a low-scoring affair overall. Colorado’s stunning play this Chukker gave them a 4-3 edge going into Halftime.  Continue reading

THE BIG BUSINESS COUP PLOT AGAINST FDR AND MOCK HEADLINES FOR APRIL 11th

Trump - crooks unite against himAs Murky Mueller and his Funky Bunch of Hillary Donors put the nation on notice that attorney-client privilege exists only at the Uniparty’s whim, it’s easy to recall the Businessman’s Coup plot against President Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930s.

President Trump is the New FDR so the modern-day equivalents of Prescott Bush and his ilk in both the Democrat and Republican Parties have been savagely going after him.

Trump is SerpicoIt makes for interesting food for thought as we watch the bought and paid for career criminals who hold political office get less and less subtle.

While we ponder all that here are some Mock Headlines for April 11th:

TRUMP-ETS: APRIL 10th

BET funder Robert Johnson and President TrumpOn a CNBC appearance Robert Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television, joined the many other black business and community leaders praising President Trump for the way his economic measures have maximized opportunities for African-American jobs.

I will point out again that President Trump is the new FDR and the new Harry Truman in so many ways. And the short-sighted, bloated rich pigs among the Democrats and Republicans hate him for it and use the media outlets they own to launch constant attacks on Trump because of it. He’s the best president for the working class and the poor in decades.

I won’t ignore the monumental good this man has accomplished for the forgotten people just because the pompous snobs, pretentious asses and cowardly conformists of the country demand it.

Hillary dead body in trunkMeanwhile, Hillary “Bugsy” Clinton, the preferred candidate of those pompous snobs, pretentious asses and cowardly conformists, continues to ramble incoherently and blame everyone else for her humiliating – and well-deserved – defeat.

As the evidence indicates, Hillary was in the pocket of so many people thanks to moneys funneled to her that a Hillary presidency would have been the worst imaginable.

The people of Haiti continue to suffer because of Hillary and her fake charity which was really just a back-channel for bribes and other graft, it seems. They were “Hillaried” the way far too many suffering areas of the U.S. would have been had this career criminal won in 2016. Continue reading

WITHIN AN ACE OF THE END OF THE WORLD (1900): ANCIENT SCIENCE FICTION

End of the worldWITHIN AN ACE OF THE END OF THE WORLD (1900) – Written by Robert Barr. No doubt about it, Barr was obsessed with the notion of humanity possibly bringing on its own demise through ill-considered scientific tampering. Recently Balladeer’s Blog reviewed another of his stories, The Doom of London, which mined the same creative territory.

This time around the tale is set in the “present” and the near future of 1903. In 1900 a scientist named Bonsel treats a crowd of VIPs to a lavish banquet, after which he announces that all of the food consumed was created artificially. This was done through his new process of drawing nitrogen from the atmosphere and combining it with other chemicals.

Thus the Great Food Corporation is launched, with many of the banquet’s attendees being its initial investors. The company thrives until 1903, when the Guildhall Banquet degenerates into a chaotic bacchanal and partial riot. Soon this “Guildhall Syndrome” spreads, with the most beastly aspects of human nature on display everywhere it manifests.

John Rule, a British gentleman put off by the poor taste of it all, probes deeper and determines that the scandalous orgies and accompanying violence have been caused by an atmospheric imbalance. That imbalance was caused by the Great Food Corporation’s siphoning off of too much nitrogen from Earth’s atmosphere. Continue reading
