NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 2nd seeded CONCORDIA (AL) COLLEGE HORNETS and the 4 seeds – the ILLINOIS TECH SCARLET HAWKS – battled for the title in Division One of the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association).
The Scarlet Hawks ended the 1st Half on top of the Hornets 33-27 but Concordia College made with one of their patented comebacks. In the end the Hornets took the crown by a final score of 61-51. With the nationwide rallies in support of President Donald Trump taking place this weekend, Balladeer’s Blog takes a look at Trump Cards: The Role- Playing Game that YOU can play. It’s like those playing-card fantasy games the guys on Big Bang Theory often participate in. 
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP – After decades as a Democrat, Trump joined many of us in leaving that party which has betrayed everything it pretended to stand for. 
GEORGE SOROS – Soros is the whitest of white males and the most bloated of the bloated rich pigs in the world. People like him, the Koch Brothers, Carlos Slim and other Plutocrats have pocketed the DemoKKKrats just like they long ago pocketed the reptilian Republicans. 
OPENING ROUND, GAME ONE – In this game the 4 seeds – the WESTMONT COLLEGE WARRIORS (Should be the Guardians) – took the court against the 5th seeded WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY WARRIORS.
Robert F Kennedy, Jr – son of slain Senator Robert F Kennedy – joined the chorus of voices praising the unique situation that President Donald Trump is in. The link is below, but first some excerpts from Kennedy’s CNN interview: 
” … (H)e is not bound by ideology. He is less bound by ideology than any president probably that we’ve had this century.” (Note from Balladeer: BINGO! Which is why Liberal and Conservative zealots are among those joining forces against him.) 
TAKING TIGER MOUNTAIN (1983) – The very memorable actor Bill Paxton passed away recently. I’ve been trying to decide which Paxton film appearance would fit in most with Balladeer’s Blog’s world of weirdness. 
Putting all that aside, Taking Tiger Mountain is an artsy black & white post-apocalypse movie which is more Born of Fire or A Boy and His Dog than Mad Max. In the aftermath of a nuclear war the world is in chaos with diseases running rampant, food riots breaking out regularly and the poles knocked off-kilter. 
QUARTERFINAL GAME ONE – This was the game of the night in the SAC Tournament and featured the 4 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS – taking on the 5th seeded WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY PIONEERS (Should be the Flying W’s).

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The title tilt in this league pitted the 2 seeds – the NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS – against the top seeded BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY CHARGERS. The Red Raiders shrugged off an early SEVENTEEN POINT DEFICIT and came back to seize a 46-44 lead over the Chargers by Halftime. After the break Northwestern College still had a fight on their hands but squeezed out a 95-89 victory led by Nathan Wedel’s 23 points. * THE RED RAIDERS ARE GPAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS *
