Northwestern (IA) Red Raiders logoCHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The title tilt in this league pitted the 2 seeds – the NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS – against the top seeded BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY CHARGERS. The Red Raiders shrugged off an early SEVENTEEN POINT DEFICIT and came back to seize a 46-44 lead over the Chargers by Halftime. After the break Northwestern College still had a fight on their hands but squeezed out a 95-89 victory led by Nathan Wedel’s 23 points. * THE RED RAIDERS ARE GPAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS *

CROSSROADS LEAGUE

bethel pilots NEWCHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top 2 seeds in this Conference also squared off for the crown. The 1 seeds – the BETHEL (IN) COLLEGE PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots) took on the 2nd seeded INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY WILDCATS, the defending National Champions in basketball. Halftime found the Pilots holding a tight 42-39 edge over the Wildcats and after getting a little bit of elbow room in the 2nd Half they won the game 83-75. The top scorer for Bethel College was Jordyn Coon with 18 points, while his teammate Paul Forman logged a Double Double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. * THE PILOTS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE CROSSROADS LEAGUE TOURNAMENT *    

THE SUN CONFERENCE 

Warner Royals logo 2CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – In yet another tourney with chalk prevailing the top seeded WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS did battle with the 2 seeds – the FLORIDA MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY LIONS. The 1st Half was a defensive epic which ended in a 27-27 tie. After the break the Royals got out in front of the Lions and stayed there for a comfortable 79-63 triumph. Warren Hall led Warner University with THIRTY-FIVE points and 9 rebounds. * THE ROYALS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE SUN CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
