JUSTICE SOCIETY 26: WORLD WAR TWO WRAPS UP

Mister Terrific 2Balladeer’s Blog’s examination of the Justice Society’s Golden Age stories continues. FOR PART ONE CLICK HERE

I will review the original issue and then detail how I would “script-doctor” the story for modern audiences.

All Star 27ALL STAR COMICS #27 (Winter 1945 – On sale date Nov 13th)

Title: A PLACE IN THE WORLD

Heroes: WONDER WOMAN (Original), DOCTOR MIDNITE, FLASH (Original), WILDCAT, HAWKMAN (Original), JOHNNY THUNDER, GREEN LANTERN (Original)

Villains: ASSORTED GANGS OF CRIMINALS (I would revise it to have PER DEGATON, the JSA’s Nazi foe, as the villain)

Per DegatonSynopsis: In very late 1945 some superhero comic books featured their last few World War Two-centered stories, with the implication being that they had happened earlier in the year when the war still raged. Others moved on into the Post-War Era while others were a mixture, like this Justice Society tale. Continue reading

PRESIDENT TRUMP: ONE MAN AGAINST AMERICA’S CESSPOOL OF CORRUPTION

donald-trump-and-flagThe daily saga of the unlikeliest hero of them all continues! As I’ve often pointed out President Donald Trump is America’s first de facto Third Party President since he has to battle the corrupt, bought and paid-for office-holders in both major parties. In addition Trump has helped the working class and the poor in ways that no other president from either party has done in decades. (see below)

President Trump is not a career politician, which will never change. Even if he gets reelected in 2020 there is no changing the fact that he was never a career politician. He is not a “Made Member” of either of the gangs of white-collar criminals called Democrats and Republicans. He did not spend his life working in the cesspool of corruption that masquerades as our government.

Latinos for Trump phone ladyAnd how can you NOT love the way he kept both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton out of the White House?

Brian C Joondeph wrote a terrific piece titled Trump is an Army of One. The link is below, but first some excerpts:

The truth was he was never a Democrat or a Republican, at least as they are defined today. Instead he is a problem solver, beholden to no one and not part of the political establishment. His loyalty is only to America and those who voted for him, not to the donor classes …”

Trump supporterHe was not part of either party’s ruling cabal, having never held elective office or political appointment. He did not campaign or arrive at the White House with an entourage of advisors and staff, from previous stints as a governor or senator. Trump was an army of one.”

Fortunately, Trump is a fighter. No other Republican could withstand the daily blistering barrage from the media and both political parties ganging up on him to destroy his presidency.” Continue reading

MARK ZUCKERBERG LOOKS AT POETRY

Mark Zuckerberg dead inside

“I’M DEAD INSIDE.”

Nobody takes more joy in sucking the emotion out of all human contact than Facebook’s Mark “Skippy” Zuckerberg! Mark – who hopes to become “a real boy” someday – recently chatted with a nonexistent reporter for Balladeer’s Blog. The subject was Zuckerberg’s new algorithm for breaking down poetry (patent pending).

BALLADEER’S BLOG: So Mark, what made you and your ilk in Silicon Valley take time away from invading people’s privacy to poke and prod at poetry?

MARK ZUCKERBERG: It annoyed me that there was still a scintilla of humanity left in the written word and I realized I couldn’t rest until I had analyzed it, broken it down and/or monetized it in some way. At the very least I wanted to destroy the emotion within it.

BALLADEER’S BLOG: Why do you despise all passion?

Mark Zuckerberg act normalMARK ZUCKERBERG: I figure if I’m not capable of experiencing emotions there’s no reason that people who have less money than I do should get to experience them either.

BALLADEER: Say no more. May I recite some random lines of poetry to you so you can demonstrate how your poetry algorithm would translate them?

MARK ZUCKERBERG: I would not be opposed to doing that.

BALLADEER’S BLOG: The moon like a flower/ In Heaven’s high bower/ In silent delight/ Sits and smiles on the night

MARK ZUCKERBERG: “Moon good.”

BALLADEER’S BLOG: Let thy loveliness fade as it will/ And around the dear ruin each wish of my heart/ Would entwine itself verdantly still

MARK ZUCKERBERG: “Male gaze.” Or maybe “Toxic masculinity.” I yield to the Sarkeesian-bots on my staff when it comes to translating such dangerous misogyny and exhortations to rape.

MARK ZUCKERBERG: “Problematic fascist walks.”

DEMOCRAT ATROCITY ROUNDUP: MARCH 11th

#WalkAwayWE NEED THIRD PARTIES. Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog know that I’m one of the many former Democrats who have chosen to #WALKAWAY from that increasingly deranged and fascistic political party.

illegal immigration democrat vote machineDEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES VOTED LAST WEEK TO ENABLE CONTINUED VOTING BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. This story is being featured all over the place so you can choose whichever outlet you prefer. Typical of Democrat worminess they used to deny that illegal immigrants voted, then when proof kept coming forward that illegals ARE and HAVE BEEN voting in violation of the law they moved on to their next bizarre stand.

democrats fraudulent and illegal votingThat stand: refusing to interfere with localities that OPENLY LET ILLEGALS VOTE. Oh, yes, those Democrat-run localities pretend that they’re only going to let them vote in “local issues.” Uh. Yeah. Right. I’m sure it will be on the “Honor System” since Democrats like to pretend it’s “racist” to enforce any voting laws, which means there will be absolutely no checking to make sure illegals are voting only in local issues (as if that is not violation enough).
