lindsey wilson blue raidersDAY THREE: GAME ONE – This Elimination Game pitted the 8 seeds – the LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS – against the 6th seeded AUBURN UNIVERSITY AT MONTGOMERY WARHAWKS (formerly the Senators). Runs came easily in this high-scoring shootout. By the 3rd Inning the Blue Raiders held a 6-2 advantage over the Warhawks, which turned into a 15-10 lead by the 6th. From there AUM added 2 more runs as Lindsey Wilson College pulled off a 15-12 upset. Continue reading →

LATEST COLLEGE WORLD SERIES RESULTS

Cortland State Red Dragons logoDAY NINE: GAME A – The CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS – the defending National Champions – took on the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT LACROSSE EAGLES in a rematch of last year’s title game. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Red Dragons found themselves trailing the Eagles 1-0 in the 2nd. The 4th Inning ended in a 2-2 tie and from there Cortland State’s bats got very hot. When all was said and done the Red Dragons won the game by a score of 8-3 for Pitcher Jeff Cooke.  Continue reading →

NCCAA CHAMPS CROWNED AND MORE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES RESULTS

*** NCCAA ***

Oklahoma Baptist University Bison BIGCHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams left standing were the top seeds – the OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON – and the 10th seeded BETHESDA (CA) UNIVERSITY FLAMES. Neither team scored until the Bison grabbed a 2-0 lead in the 3rd Inning but the Flames made it 2-2 in the 5th. By the end of the 6th Inning Oklahoma Baptist University led 4-3 with the relentless Cinderella 10 seeds tying it back up at 4-4 in the 8th. That’s where it stood in the bottom of the 9th when OBU’s Hunter Heath hit a Grand Slam Home Run to give his team an 8-4 triumph. Sterling Warriors logoDAY ONE: GAME ONE – The 7th seeded STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS and the 10 seeds – the POINT UNIVERSITY SKYHAWKS – were tied up at 1-1 in the 1st Inning. The Warriors grabbed a 5-3 lead in the 4th Inning and then shut out the Skyhawks from there. NCCAA WORLD SERIES RESULTS

Oakland City University Mighty OaksDAY ONE: GAME ONE – The 5 seeds – the OAKLAND CITY UNIVERSITY MIGHTY OAKS got things rolling with their game against the 4th seeded JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES. After 2 scoreless Innings the Mighty Oaks made it a 1-0 game in the 3rd, then a 2-0 game in the 4th. The Eagles mustered just 1 run in the 9th Inning as Oakland City University secured the 2-1 upset. NCAA D2 WORLD SERIES CONTINUES

southern new hampshire university penmenDAY FIVE: GAME ONE – The SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE UNIVERSITY PENMEN took the diamond against the FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY RAVENS in this game. The Penmen grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning only to see the Ravens tie the score at 1-1 in the 2nd. In the 5th Inning Southern New Hampshire University took an extended 4-2 advantage and rode that lead to a 4-3 victory. Pitcher Jake Walkinshaw picked up the win for the Penmen.  Continue reading →
