Cortland State Red Dragons logoDAY NINE: GAME A – The CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS – the defending National Champions – took on the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT LACROSSE EAGLES in a rematch of last year’s title game. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Red Dragons found themselves trailing the Eagles 1-0 in the 2nd. The 4th Inning ended in a 2-2 tie and from there Cortland State’s bats got very hot. When all was said and done the Red Dragons won the game by a score of 8-3 for Pitcher Jeff Cooke. 

Keystone College GiantsDAY NINE: GAME B – This game pitted the KEYSTONE COLLEGE GIANTS against the LA ROCHE COLLEGE REDHAWKS. A 1-0 1st Inning edge for the Redhawks held up until the 4th when the Giants made it a 1-1 game. Five additional runs for Keystone College were the extent of the offense for both teams the rest of the way. The Giants notched a 6-1 victory with Jesse Arnold on the Mound for 9 Iron Man Innings.

Harford College Fighting OwlsDAY TWO: GAME ONE – The HARFORD COLLEGE FIGHTING OWLS and the SANTA FE (FL) COLLEGE SAINTS squared off in this Elimination Game. The Fighting Owls exploded for a 4-0 lead in the 1st Inning but the Saints countered that by making the score 4-3 in the 2nd. Harford College responded with 3 more runs in the 3rd Inning while Santa Fe College could muster just 1 more run in the 9th. Pitcher Josh Silvestri picked up the Win.

Delgado College DolphinsDAY TWO: GAME TWO – The DELGADO COLLEGE DOLPHINS and the DARTON STATE CAVALIERS fought each other for survival next. The Dolphins managed a 3-1 advantage over the Cavaliers in the 2nd Inning and never looked back. Delgado College went on from there to thoroughly spank Darton State to the tune of TEN to TWO. Evan Hileman threw for the win for the Dolphins.  

San Jacinto College North GatorsDAY TWO: GAME THREE – In this game the SAN JACINTO COLLEGE-NORTH GATORS did battle against the COWLEY COLLEGE TIGERS. The Tigers seemed on their way to an easy win as they got off to a quick 7-0 lead in the 1st Inning. Surprisingly, they never scored again while the Gators put up runs in the 3rd, 5th and 9th to squeeze out an 8-7 comeback victory. The winning Pitcher was Cody Nesbit.
