DAY TWO OF ROUND TWO: SO-CAL – The 7 seeds – the ANTELOPE VALLEY COLLEGE MARAUDERS – took on the 10th seeded CITY COLLEGE OF SAN DIEGO KNIGHTS. Everything went the way of the Marauders in the 1st Half, and they built up a 42-31 advantage by the break. The Knights came out of the locker room on fire and Antelope Valley College had to hold on by their fingernails for an 87-83 victory. The Marauders were led by Cory Dollarhide with 19 points. Asad Shah
Asad Shah, a 40 year old Glasgow newsstand operator, was murdered by a fellow Muslim a mere four hours after making a post on social media wishing Christians a Happy Easter. Shah was reportedly stabbed and his head stomped in. He died after being taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Everyone’s thoughts should be with those who mourn this man. Asad Shah fled Pakistan because he was a member of the Ahmadi sect, who are persecuted by other Muslims because they are considered “apostates.”
The complacent, self-satisfied egomaniacs of the political left around the world need to note the irony here. Like many truly moderate Muslims, Mr Shah moved to the Western World to escape persecution and the intolerance of so many of his co-religionists. He and others like him didn’t realize that the Labour Party in the U.K. and the Democratic Party in the U.S. would hitch their electoral futures ONLY to the type of murderous fanatics that Mr Shah fled.
The more that the political left (which so many of us have left because of their bizarre fetish for Muslim fascism) abets ONLY the anti-Western voices of Muslim immigrants while ignoring the moderate Muslims that they CLAIM to be looking out for, the more innocent victims like Asad Shah will die. The Muslims who are as tolerant and positive as he was will catch on that they must pander to the fanatical Muslims even here in the West or wind up dead. Just like in the hate-filled lands they fled.

SCORPION THUNDERBOLT – Yes, it’s Scorpion Thunderbolt, the horror movie that has absolutely NOTHING to do with EITHER scorpions OR thunderbolts! They could have titled this thing Terms of Endearment 2 and it wouldn’t have been any less appropriate.
Potential viewers will find various years of release listed for this flick like 1983, 1985 or 1988. That’s because this is another of those bizarre cinematic cut-and-paste jobs that we fans of bad movies just love, like They Saved Hitler’s Brain, Spookies, Pink Angels, Monster A Go-Go and so many others.
The original film was titled Grudge of the Sleepwalking Woman and was a Taiwanese horror movie from 1983. Balladeer’s Blog’s old friend Godfrey Ho, the Schlockmeister General of Hong Kong cinema, bought the original movie. That Dr Frankenstein of the editing room padded the film’s run-time by adding some kung fu fights and one of his usual non sequitur movie quickies starring Richard Harrison, then tried to pass the mess off as all one movie. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The two teams still standing in this tournament were the 2 seeds – the AUGUSTANA (SD) COLLEGE VIKINGS and the lone remaining 1 seed – the LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY RAILSPLITTERS. The Vikings put the Railsplitters in unfamiliar territory by being on top of them 43-38 at Halftime. After the break Augustana College inched further and further away from Lincoln Memorial University, ultimately winning the game by a score of 90-81. PART NINETEEN
Hi’iaka and her mortal traveling companion Wahine approached the sorceresses named Kilioe and Kalanamainu’u, ready for battle. The naked sorceresses who had stolen the corpse of Prince Lohiau were fighting on their home turf there in their cavern hideaway, where they were familiar with every shadowy tunnel and corner.
Any advantage that may have provided Kilioe and her sister witch was lost the minute Hi’iaka saw Lohiau’s corpse on the mats that lined the floor. It was then that she realized that her speculation was right – the pair of sorceresses had used their dark magic to preserve Lohiau’s body in all its male glory. Proud father of the Islamic State (aka Obamastan) and founder of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.
The recent word out of Belgium has been that the operatives of the Islamic State spawned by Barack Obama’s premature withdrawal from Iraq were planning a “dirty bomb” attack. Obamastan (the alternate name for the Islamic State) had operatives in place at a Belgian nuclear plant. Some of those operatives were arrested and approximately eight other Muslims were fired from jobs at nuclear facilities because of questionable identification papers.

FIRST SEMIFINAL – The top seeded LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY RAILSPLITTERS squared off against the 4 seeds – the WEST LIBERTY STATE HILLTOPPERS. Points flew like shrapnel in this game, which the Railsplitters led 54-53 at Halftime. Following the break the Hilltoppers continued giving LMU a thorough challenge but in the end the Railsplitters triumphed by a Century Club level score of 103-102. INANNA
Pantheon: Sumerian (The Babylonians called her Ishtar)
The Tale: Inanna the fertility goddess and queen of the heavens was looking to extend her reign to the land of the dead. She descended into the Netherworld, which was ruled over by her sister, the goddess Ereshkigal. Fighting on the death goddess’ own turf was foolish and Ereshkigal won the controntation and either nailed Inanna to a wall of her palace or impaled her on a stake, Vlad the Impaler style.
With Inanna thus imprisoned, vegetation died from the withering heat of summer, which could get even worse in that part of the world, where droughts could be so intense that the Tigris and Euphrates rivers were the only bodies of water that would NOT get dried up. The usual drought cycle continued, with vegetation dying, then animals who lived off it dying, etc. In the case of Inanna her dominion over sexual fertility also added the angle that males and females of all species lost all interest in sex and reproduction as well. Obama spinelessly let him get away with this pretence. The next day Amnesty International and other groups provided PLENTY of names of political prisoners in Cuba.
Balladeer’s Blog remains the only site on the web that equally criticizes both American Liberals and Conservatives. Some readers from overseas asked me why American Liberals adore Cuba and the Castro Brothers but constantly trash their own country for comparatively smaller offenses. I’m happy to explain:
American Liberals think that any oppressive dictatorship that is on bad terms with the United States MUST be wonderful but oppressive dictatorships that are on GOOD terms with the United States MUST be viewed as proof that we are complicit in injustices around the globe and should be hated for it. Trust me, after the bloated rich pig Castro Brothers are gone, if Cuba actually becomes closely alligned with America in the future the left will talk about nothing BUT all the political prisoners and oppression in that country.
This is just one small part of the childishly simplistic worldview of American Liberals. Any nation as large as the United States will inevitably wind up with countries that approve of its actions and countries that disapprove of its actions. Liberals think it’s automatically “deep and intellectual” to side ONLY with those nations that disapprove of America’s actions.
The rest of us, who are neither Liberals nor Conservatives (you can call us adults) evaluate each individual situation for ourselves, sometimes agreeing with America’s detractors, sometimes agreeing with America’s supporters. Obama is a typical American Liberal ass so naturally he swoons at the mere thought of Cuba and the murderous Papa Fidel and family.
