SUPERNATURAL (1933) ON THE TEXAS TWENTY-SEVEN FILM VAULT
Before MST3K there was … The Texas 27 Film Vault!
Balladeer’s Blog continues its examination of this neglected cult show from the mid-1980s.
EPISODE ORIGINALLY BROADCAST: Saturday April 19th, 1986 from 10:30pm to 1:00am.
EXTRAS: This episode featured footage of our Film Vault Technicians First Class Randy and Richard’s promotional appearance at Six Flags Mall in nearby Arlington, TX.
HOST SEGMENTS: One particular Host Segment featured one of the show’s behind-the- scenes people portraying Commando Cody complete with helmet and rocket pack. He was portraying the character because the Commando Cody serial Radar Men from the Moon was the current serial being shown before the movie each week on The Texas 27 Film Vault.
Since Randy Clower still outranked his co-host Richard Malmos (at least until a few episodes later) in the fictional Film Vault Corps (“The few, the proud, the sarcastic”) their relationship often featured the type of abusive “Host and Second Banana” dynamic like that between Dr Morgus and his lab assistant Chopsley or Zacherle and his wife My Dear or Dr Forester and TV’s Frank. OBAMA VOWS: “IF ONE MORE MUSLIM SHOOTS GAY PEOPLE I WILL LOCK UP EVERY CHRISTIAN IN THIS COUNTRY!”
“I would rather have a hundred Americans get killed than have one single Muslim fanatic be inconvenienced!”
With obvious emotion in his voice, Barack Obama stated that he is SO tired of Muslim atrocities making him look like a fool that he will begin arbitrarily imprisoning Christians after every such incident. Obama ignored the fact that the Ramadan Massacre in Orlando on June 12th was committed by a Muslim man who blamed his shooting spree on Obama’s drone strikes on other Muslims … among other things.
“Omar was obviously mistaken,” Obama clarified for an adoring press,”I heard somebody say they knew somebody who thinks the guy might have blamed the attack on Donald Trump. Either way my plan going forth is to inflict increasingly draconian punishments on innocent American citizens following EVERY terrorist attack.”
Next the little man “pivoted,” as is his wont, to the little boy in Florida eaten by an alligator and stated he had a hunch the alligator was an NRA member.
Hillary Clinton spoke for Democrats everywhere when she said “Once the American people get used to the fact that THEY are ALWAYS the problem life will be much simpler for them.”

OBAMA ADMITS HE’S DONE NOTHING TO EARN THE PRESIDENCY
Proud father of the Islamic State (Obamastan) and of Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program.
In his recent commencement speech at Howard University Little Barry Obama told the graduates that people who do well in life are just lucky and it “wasn’t nothin’ they did.”
This means Obama has finally gained enough self-awareness to realize how LUCKY he was to go to all those private schools, get entry to educational institutions and stay there despite his low grades just because he was LUCKY enough to be in a country with Affirmative Action. (He could have mentioned the fact that that’s how Michelle got into her college, too, since her grades weren’t good enough, either.)
It also means Barack acknowledges how LUCKY he was to be in the right place at the right time to pointlessly race-bait his way to prominence in the cesspool of the Chicago political system. Then he was LUCKY enough to be the man selected to speak at the Democratic Convention and gain his first national attention.

From there he was LUCKY enough to go up against Hillary Clinton in 2008 for the Democratic Party nomination. He was also LUCKY enough to follow George W Bush, a repulsive bloated rich pig. And he was LUCKY enough to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize his first year in office, based on ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Most of all he was LUCKY enough to be up against a Republican Party being run by the most clueless, gutless and insipid fools to ever walk the planet. Continue reading

BRAVE FORMER MUSLIM WOMAN NONIE DARWISH
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** Nonie Darwish, a woman braver than any shallow American celebrities.
Nonie Darwish is a former Muslim of Egyptian descent and has authored several books critical of Islam’s refusal to join the modern world. Naturally she has faced the usual death-threats and attacks inflicted on other former Muslims or Muslims who seek reform of their faith. Nonie’s courage is in stark contrast to the usual American Liberal cowardice – most recently Wingate University’s cancellation of her scheduled speaking appearance.
As Balladeer’s Blog often points out, the political robots of American Liberalism try their best to impose a blackout on heroic activists like Nonie Darwish and so many other women. That’s because the Democratic Party panders ONLY to Muslims who hate the Western World and who want to live in the past.
Wingate used one of the favorite methods of silencing women (especially Muslim women) who criticize Islam’s misogyny, homophobia and overall intolerance: they claimed there were “security concerns” because of students who complained about the title of Darwish’s talk – Why Terrorists Hate America and the West. Wow. How upsetting that title must have been for the delicate little darlings.
This is another example of why so many of us who will NEVER be Conservatives have still grown to despise American Liberals. The Democratic Party welcomes terrorist-linked CAIR representatives to the White House but critics of Muslim intolerance can get no hearing.

RESURRECT THE DEAD ON PLANET JUPITER: TOYNBEE TILES
Here at Balladeer’s Blog I enjoy treating conspiracy theories as a form of modern-day mythology. Just like mythology and religious beliefs conspiracy theories are irrational explanations for occurrences or situations that have much more rational explanations. Here’s one of my all-time favorite neglected conspiracy kook bits.
THE DEAD CAN BE RESURRECTED ON PLANET JUPITER – The enigmatic Toynbee Tiles are the major source for the enjoyable canon behind this notion. At some point in the 1980s odd tiles laid into the asphalt of actual streets and roadways were being found, bearing some variation on the following message: “TOYNBEE IDEA/ IN MOVIE 2001/ RESURRECT DEAD/ ON PLANET JUPITER.” Continue reading

PELE AND HI’IAKA: EPIC OF HAWAII PART NINE
Balladeer’s Blog continues its examination of the grand and exciting Hawaiian epic about the goddesses Pele and Hi’iaka.
PART NINE
By nightfall Hi’iaka had secured passage for herself and the mortal woman Wahine in a craft bound for the island of Maui. That vessel set off the next morning. In some versions the boatman and his son refuse to take the ladies so Hi’iaka punishes them by using her powers to make their craft sink. After swimming to shore the two men were more than happy to take the ladies in their other ship. Continue reading
