PRESIDENTIAL LOSERS: PROS AND CONS

mascot new look donkey and elephant headsIn the spirit of Balladeer’s Blog’s irreverent, tongue-in-cheek looks at the pros and cons of U.S. Presidents and Vice Presidents here’s another post for the upcoming Presidents Day three-day weekend.

It’s my tongue-in-cheek look at the pros and cons of the LOSERS who were left in a defeated heap enroute to the Oval Office. In reverse order back to just before Tilden:

hillary-clinton-haitiHILLARY CLINTON (Lost to President Donald Trump)

Motto: “When the money keeps rolling in (to your fake charity), what’s a girl to do? Skim a little (well, quite a lot, actually) off the top for expenses wouldn’t you?”

Nickname: The Rapist’s Wife/ Crooked Hillary

Hillary clinton dough nationPro: Her childish refusal to address her own supporters the night Donald Trump utterly humiliated her provided a look at how truly petty, shallow and classless she is.

Con: She and her fascist followers tried to threaten the members of the Electoral College into casting their votes for her instead of Trump, thereby reaching the absolute lowest and most disgusting level that any American politician has ever sunk to.

MITT ROMNEY (Lost to Obama)

Motto: “Pushing women back to the Fifties … the EIGHTEEN fifties!”

Nickname: The Mormon Mondale/ Ol’ Sploog Face (tie)

Pro: His even more pathetic running mate Paul Ryan actually made him look good by comparison.  Continue reading

A TERRIFIC BOOK ABOUT HOW THE ELITE BLAME THE REST OF US FOR THE PROBLEMS THEY CREATE

Anand GiridharadasRegular readers of Balladeer’s Blog know that I often write about the way that the callous, comfortable elites love to blame the rest of us for the problems they have created in the world.

The way the corporate media and Democrat “educators” (LMAO) distort history one might think that there was once an age when the poor and the working class ruled the world and caused colonialism, wars and all the other plagues that were really caused by the Powers That Be among the rich and politically connected. The people who STILL run things, in other words.

The elites and techno-fascists of Silicon Valley love to lecture and talk down to the poor and the working class as if those elites had to “overthrow” the rule of the underclasses so they could try to “save” the world from destructive policies implemented by … the classes that have never held any political or economic power. (?) How would that have worked, exactly? Seizing the world they always controlled from the people who never exercised any control over it?

Anand Giridharadas 2

ANAND “DICE” GIRIDHARADAS

At any rate Anand Giridharadas has released Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing The World. It’s his new book dealing with the way in which wealthy leftists pretend to be saviors while obscuring their role in causing all the problems they loudly rail against. Giridharadas reflects the genuine revolution in thinking that is marking the 21st Century because – like me – he approaches the issues from a left-wing background but grows increasingly critical of the political left’s hypocrisy and abuses.

To quote from some reviews:

“Former New York Times columnist Anand Giridharadas takes us into the inner sanctums of a new gilded age, where the rich and powerful fight for equality and justice any way they can — except ways that threaten the social order and their position atop it. “

“We see how they rebrand themselves as saviors of the poor; how they lavishly reward “thought leaders” who redefine “change” in winner-friendly ways …”

“We hear the limousine confessions of a celebrated foundation boss; witness a former American president hem and haw about his plutocratic benefactors; and attend a cruise-ship conference where entrepreneurs celebrate their own self-interested magnanimity.”

As always, guilt-stricken rich white people who want to think of themselves as “progressives” are shown to be fools.”

“(T)he problem is that affluence begets arrogance, including a we-know-what’s-best attitude where these overprivileged people act as if they’re missionaries and the rest of us are ignorant savages in need of their “enlightened” supervision.”

“This kind of preachy liberalism — folks who imagine themselves to be neo-Platonic archons because their Daddy could afford to send them to Harvard — offends me as an expression of snobbery.” Continue reading

FOR OVER TWENTY MORE GODS AND GODDESSES OF FIJI CLICK HERE

Fiji 2ADI-MAILAGU – This goddess was one of the evil deities driven from the Skyworld by the Fijian demigod Tuilakemba. When Adi-Mailagu first fell from the sky humans witnessed her landing in Uruone, Fiji. She fell into the small Kele Kele River and caused the water to overflow the banks. Embarrassed, the goddess emerged from the water in the form of a large grey rat and fled into the jungle since Fijian deities are vulnerable when in animal form. Continue reading

JUSTICE SOCIETY 18: THE MONSTER

green lanternThis superhero-hungry world can’t get enough of these looks at the very FIRST superhero team in history: DC Comics’ Justice Society of America. This examination of their World War Two-era stories continues. FOR PART ONE CLICK HERE

I will review the original issue and then detail how I would “script-doctor” the story for modern audiences.

All Star 20ALL STAR COMICS #20 (Spring 1944)

Title: A MOVIE THAT CHANGED A MAN’S LIFE

Heroes: WONDER WOMAN (Original), DOCTOR MIDNITE, HAWKMAN (Original), STARMAN, THE ATOM (Original), THE SPECTRE, JOHNNY THUNDER

Villain: THE MONSTER

Synopsis: Jason L Rogers is a wealthy industrialist who periodically transforms – without his knowledge – into a super-powered being called the Monster. This is due to a freakish set of medical circumstances regarding him and his unborn twin brother in utero.

SandmanThe Justice Society of America is called in to stop the Monster’s crime spree. They battle the villain as he robs banks, dynamites factories, steals payrolls, muscles in on the steel industry and threatens to blow up a dam if he is not paid extortion money.

Our heroes also shut down some of the Monster’s more elaborate plans, like raiding high society get-togethers, gassing the attendees and stealing all their jewelry and cash. In addition the JSA defeats the villain’s racket of kidnapping the wealthy, having their faces surgically changed to make them hideous, then demanding money to have their faces fixed. RICK SPRINGFIELD: I’VE DONE EVERYTHING FOR YOU

It’s another round of Balladeer’s Blog’s Give Them A Shoutout Before They’re Dead! The easy choice for Rick Springfield would have been to go with Jesse’s Girl but since my whole theme is the more out of the way stuff I’m going with I’ve Done Everything For You:

KHALIQ RODRIQUEZ: STILL DEFYING DEMOCRAT FASCISM

Khaliq Rodriquez 2Khaliq Rodriquez, a Martin Luther King Person of Courage, is still LIVING history this month. Like so many other People of Courage I’ve covered here at Balladeer’s Blog Mr Rodriquez has decided to #WALKAWAY from the fascistic Democrats and praise President Trump’s many accomplishments for the poor and the working class of ALL colors.

Urban Intellectuals Matter, as the saying goes, and Khaliq is always in the foreground, courageously pushing back against Democrats who think they own people of color.

Long ago the Democrats exploited the white working class and white poor by paying lip service to them to get their votes, then selling them out.

#WalkAwayThen when the white working class and the white poor saw through the Democrats’ lies they decided to #WALKAWAY. So the Democrats resumed exploiting the black working class and poor by paying lip service to them to get their votes, then selling them out.

Now as more and more people of color see through the Democrats’ lies and decide to #WALKAWAY the Democrats have taken to pandering to illegal immigrants and ONLY to illegal immigrants.

At any rate, celebrate this month by checking out Khaliq Rodriquez’s Twitter feed – where white one percenter Jack Dorsey’s Twitter thugs often try suspending Khaliq for defying the Democrats. If his feed is down, wait a few days and try again.

FOR KHALIQ RODRIQUEZ AT TWITTER CLICK HERE for his opinions like this:

San Diego wall built – illegal immigration went down 92%

Tuscon wall built – illegal immigration went down 95%

Democrats will stop the wall at all costs. As black Americans leave the plantation they need illegal aliens to replace them. – Khaliq Rodriquez

GEORGE WASHINGTON: WAS HE REALLY THE INDISPENSABLE MAN?

George WashingtonPresident’s Day is coming up in 8 days so here’s yet another seasonal post. It’s one of my random takes on one of our Presidents. Or in this case just one aspect of one of our Presidents.

GEORGE WASHINGTON – My other posts about Washington have bashed him over the slavery issue, but this particular blog post is on a whole different topic. (Point being don’t leave a juvenile, snarky remark about him being a slave-owner. Everybody knows that. You won’t be retroactively freeing a single slave by indulging your ego that way.)

THE INDISPENSABLE MAN – George Washington is often called the Indispensable Man to the success of the American Revolution. I’m generally not a Washington fan but I’ve yielded on this point over the years. Here are three reasons why:

A. Odd as it may sound, reading several books about the Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman Turks (1821-1830) helped convince me of Washington’s value. His name is never mentioned in any of my books about that war but there are parallels to our Revolution. Continue reading
