PRESIDENTIAL LOSERS: PROS AND CONS

mascot new look donkey and elephant headsHappy Presidents Day Weekend! Over the years Balladeer’s Blog’s irreverent, tongue-in-cheek looks at the pros and cons of U.S. Presidents have been among my most visited items.

For a change of pace here’s a look at the pros and cons of the LOSERS who were left in a defeated heap enroute to the Oval Office. In reverse order:

Motto: “When the money keeps rolling in (to your fake charity), what’s a girl to do? Skim a little (well, quite a lot, actually) off the top for expenses wouldn’t you?”

Nickname: The Rapist’s Wife/ Crooked Hillary 

Hillary clinton dough nationPro: Her childish refusal to address her own supporters the night Donald Trump utterly humiliated her provided a look at how truly petty, shallow and classless she is. 

Con: She and her fascist followers tried to threaten the members of the Electoral College into casting their votes for her instead of Trump, thereby reaching the absolute lowest and most disgusting level that any American politician has ever sunk to. 

MITT ROMNEY (Lost to Obama)

Motto: “Pushing women back to the Fifties … the EIGHTEEN fifties!”

Nickname: The Mormon Mondale/ Ol’ Sploog Face (tie)

Pro: His even more pathetic running mate Paul Ryan actually made him look good by comparison. 

Con: Was so thoroughly inept he managed to lose to Barack Obama even after voters saw what a disaster he was.

HILLARY LOSES AGAIN: DEMOCRAT DEATH-THREATS FAIL TO INTIMIDATE ELECTORAL COLLEGE MEMBERS

Rejecting Hillary Clinton is the new American Pastime.

The election that never seems to end passed another milestone today as the Electoral College members met to certify Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. Weeks ago Hillary Clinton supporters publicly posted names, addresses, phone numbers and social media information of Electors as part of the massive attempt to intimidate them into ignoring the results of the November 8th election.

Many Electors reported getting death-threats through various media and some even needed police protection today because of the Democrats’ unprecedented attempt at overruling presidential election results via intimidation.

*** *** *** *** ***   Are death-threats to Electors the wave of the future?

Corporate media outlets have been coyly ignoring much of this and have been downplaying the fact that there is an implied threat in the mere public posting of the Electors’ information. “Everyone knows where you live and how to contact you now” is the message conveyed by ANY contact with the Electors.

OVERSEAS NEWS OUTLETS were MORE RELIABLE sources of information on the death-threats and other attempts at intimidation THAN AMERICAN NETWORKS! And thanks to the Democrats we now face a situation in which presidential elections of the future may well be waged up until the last moment before the Electors meet.  

Because the American Left seem determined to drive away all of us rational people who used to consider ourselves a part of them I am repeating this blog post from Election Day. Hey, if we had to sit through their Drama Queen antics the past several weeks, why not?

All day long the media here in the U.S. bashes Trump while making a point of ignoring Hillary Clinton’s negatives. Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog are aware of my antipathy toward both main political parties here in the U.S. (DemCorp and RepubCorp) but media bias is SO severe this election year that it’s refreshing to find someone making a case for a candidate based on something other than “mean” remarks or the usual shallow things the media obsesses over.

Dr Janice Shaw Crouse  – whose doctoral dissertation involved presidential campaigns  – makes some interesting points:

“I’m voting for Trump because of my experience in D.C., my training in logic, and my appreciation for those who can ‘get the job done. I’ve had enough of the lawyer-political types who can talk a good-sounding talk, but can’t get the job done …  

clinton-cash“President Obama and Secretary of State/Presidential Candidate Clinton have the lawyer’s ability to give good speeches (though not consistently). A close examination, however, reveals the mess Mrs. Clinton left at the State Department and the news is full of the multiple disasters she has left in her wake since her first job on the Watergate Committee in the 1970s.  

“The litany of national crises precipitated by President Obama fills books and continues to make news headlines. His legacy is a nation worse off than it was 8 years ago by almost every measure.

“As Mr. Trump said during the first debate, ‘They’ve had 30 years!’ We should not have to endure another 4 to 8 years of such disaster;  As the cliché goes: ‘I’m much more appalled by what Hillary has done, than by what Trump has said.’

“I am voting to end the ridiculous ways politically-correct language is changing the way we live, disrupting our universities and making people afraid to speak out about deeply held personal views. I’m tired of ‘safe places’ and ‘trigger warnings’ and all the silliness that political correctness has imposed on US citizens.

“I’m voting for lawful immigration with secure borders and a legal process for becoming an American citizen with its rights, privileges and responsibilities. We should not admit more immigrants to the country than can be absorbed by the infrastructure; we should not allow immigrants who have no intention of assimilating into American culture and becoming American.

“I’m voting for a return to considering America’s best interest in international decisions. Yes, the world is increasingly a small place when anyone can fly to its farthest reaches in just a few hours, but it’s time our president respected America and Americans and paid attention to what’s beneficial for our citizens.

“I’m voting for protection of the Bill of Rights and the provisions of the Constitution – especially the rights of freedom of speech and religious liberty. Mrs. Clinton threatens to confiscate guns and obviously is soft on Islamic Terrorism. Continue reading →

REPUBLICAN BILL KRISTOL:STILL CRAZY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

Funny Man Bill Kristol: He always keeps the straightest face this side of Leslie Nielsen while making everyone around him convulse with laughter!

Oh, I know for most people the late Andy Kaufman will always be the greatest “concept” comedian ever, but I’ve always been partial to funny man Bill Kristol. Bill’s send-ups of smug, pompous, callous and snobbish Conservative pundits have been making me laugh for years. Like Paul Reubens with his Pee Wee Herman character or Paul Schaeffer with his Vegas schmoozer act, Kristol never broke character. His serious expression made the da-da-esque comedy spilling from his mouth even funnier.

Sure, Stephen Colbert stole Kristol’s act, but Colbert was always too mainstream. Even the most humorless people knew Colbert was spoofing that annoying windbag Bill O’Reilly but real hipsters knew there were huge elements of Bill Kristol’s shtick stolen line for line. It’s like how the early rock’n’rollers unashamedly stole a lot of black music, y’know?  

This week Kristol churned out his latest comedy masterpiece: he plucked a guy named David French out of the Federal Witness Protection Program and claimed he was running the stooge as a Third Party Candidate! This after teasing the “big reveal” over the Memorial Day weekend on social media, bragging about how potent this mystery candidate would be. Ah, Bill! You still got it!

This is funnier than Firesign Theater’s “Papoon for President” bits or Steve Gerber’s “Howard the Duck for President” gag way back in 1976. Leave it to Bill Kristol to find a mock candidate even more absurd than those!  Continue reading →

MITT ROMNEY AND I ANNOUNCE WE’RE NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

*** *** *** *** *** *** Not even the endorsement of Senor Wences could help the pathetic Mitt Romney.

The dual announcement shocked the nation … if by shocked you mean “had absolutely no impact whatsoever on the 2016 presidential race” or “you’d need an electron microscope to measure public reaction.”

I outdid Mitt “The Mormon Mondale” Romney by also announcing that I would NOT accept an appointment to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court, NOR will I accept an offer to become the next actor to play Indiana Jones.

Reaching my hands across the water I made it abundantly clear that I will NOT agree to be the next star of Doctor Who either. The public be damned – I have to think of myself and my loved ones.  

Anyway, since Mitt decided he wanted a slightly larger footnote in American history, I got in the mood for my Mock Campaign Slogans for him and Obama from 2012. Here they are one last time for nostalgia’s sake.

Since it’s a presidential election year the Democrats and Republicans are lying even more than they normally do. To lighten the mood a little here is my favorite unintentionally dirty campaign slogan of all time.

It’s from 1940, when Franklin Roosevelt was running for a controversial third term and his opponent was Wendell Wilkie. Wilkie supporters wore buttons that expressed their disapproval of a president trying for a third term in office. Here they are: Continue reading →

As always Balladeer’s Blog is the only site on the web that criticizes both Liberals and Conservatives equally. Recently I provided a sarcastic campaign slogan for the repulsive Jeb Bush. Now it’s Hillary’s turn. With each passing day more and more revelations about the Uranium Scandal, the Clinton (Bribery?) Foundation and all the other scandals surrounding Hillary get uglier and uglier.

So that made my proposed slogan for Hill obvious: “You can’t spell Hillary Clinton without R.I.C.O.” (As in the R.I.C.O. Act) Continue reading →
