Barack Obama feeling ashamed for encouraging violence against police and for setting back race relations
* ENTERED REMOTELY – FAMILY TRAGEDY
Barack Obama delivered his latest apology.
“I apologize for ever having encouraged an environment of violence toward the police. In every case involving a shooting I have jumped to conclusions and made undiplomatic remarks that have made tense situations worse. Too late I came to realize that Black Lives Matter – a hate-group comparable to the Ku Klux Klan – was founded on the lies about what happened in Ferguson, MO.
“In the most recent cases, too, we have all since learned that the African-Americans BOTH had guns and were NOT unarmed, as first rumored. Again I have fanned the flames of race hatred and I am so very ashamed and so very sorry. Even one of my own White House Staff left after shooting at a police officer. I know we all remember her name.

“I also apologize for hijacking the memorial service for the Texas law enforcement personnel who were gunned down during that Nuremberg Rally of Color that the Black Lives Matter bigots mounted. I apologize for pompously and patronizingly saying that ‘it hurts’ when hate groups like Black Lives Matter get criticized.
“I should have realized THAT IT MUST ALSO HURT TO BE WHITE AMERICANS WHO HAVE NEVER WRONGED ANY AFRICAN-AMERICANS YET STILL BE SUBJECTED TO NON-STOP HARANGUES ABOUT RACISM. I apologize. I humbly, deeply apologize.
“I apologize on behalf of the entire Democratic Party for our endless racebaiting. The truth is, FIVE DECADES of condescending gibberish from the Democratic Party has done NOTHING to improve life for working class people – BOTH BLACK AND WHITE. Therefore, we felt we had no choice but to stoke up hatred among blacks and whites before the working class of both colors united against the Democratic Party.

“Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it,but I’m begging all of you. I apologize for spouting divisive nonsense at the memorial service and not taking into account the feelings of the loved ones of the slain officers. That memorial service was meant to honor the service and sacrifice of those brave officers, yet I fundamentally transformed it into another excuse to spread race-hatred. Continue reading

Frontierado is Friday, August 5th! My most popular Frontierado articles over the years have been the ones about neglected gunslingers of the American West. Here is another neglected western figure whose life was at least as interesting as those of the bigger names.
KID RUSSELL – How cool is it that an authentic, acclaimed international artist spent some of his younger years wandering the Wild West, even earning the nickname Kid Russell? Charles Marion “Kid” Russell was born in 1864 in St Louis, Missouri. As with Klondike Kate Rockwell, most of this figure’s life story is outside the purview of this article.
Since Frontierado is about the myth of the Old West I’ll focus on the legends about Kid Russell’s wild, wandering younger years full of guns, ranches, saloons, cattle drives, bordellos and sketches drawn on any nearby flat surface, sketches that showed the nascent talent that would one day make Russell world-famous.
When he was age 16 Charles’ well-to-do parents gave up trying to force him to continue his schooling and let him move to Montana, where, clad in a brand-new buckskin outfit, he worked on a friend’s sheep ranch north of Helena. It took skill with a gun and a true survival instinct to live through encounters with rustlers, hostile cattlemen and their hired gunmen but Charles, already being called Kid Russell, thrived and felt more at home in this rough and tumble lifestyle than among his family’s hoity-toity friends in St Louis high society. *** *** *** *** You’ll NEVER miss the out-of-focus figure in the background after your initial viewing.
Before elaborating on this eerie “broadcast from Hell” let me set the stage. Evolving technology has repeatedly facilitated the restaging of ages-old tales including, of course, horror stories. Silent films and eventually sound films provided even further ways of restaging dramatic themes.
Orson Welles took radio “meta” by adapting H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds in the way it would unfold via news broadcasts. The familiarity of the technique disarmed many listeners and their discomfort was compounded by the way the horrors of the tale invaded their own homes.
You don’t even want to know …
In a way this legendary broadcast packed a bigger punch than movies because of the way it took people by surprise at unguarded moments. Horror FILMS are always at a disadvantage because the audience is already several steps removed from being caught off-guard by the simple fact that they made the conscious decision to go attend a story they knew would be “scary.”
Not even the original Cannibal Holocaust or The Last Broadcast or The Blair Witch Project could truly take viewers by surprise in the way Welles’ radio project or televised imitations like Special Bulletin could.
And that’s my roundabout way of getting to Alan Resnick’s truly disturbing Claridryl ad. Technically titled Unedited Footage of a Bear/ Claridryl Ad if you’re looking for it online, THIS brilliant bit of Pirandello television set the new standard for taking viewers by surprise in their own homes. LEGACY OF THE INCAS (1965) – Guy Madison and Fernando Rey starred in this Llama Western which would be guaranteed to make some of the emotional cripples of the 21st Century faint at its “Colonialism Squared” plotline. To me the staggering tastelessness of it all makes it more funny than pernicious.
Rey plays President Castillo of late 1800’s Peru. He has a Jim West-style assignment for his gunslinging agent, nicknamed Jaguar. His birth name is Wutuma, and he’s the last of “the proud and noble Incas”. His job is to eradicate a gang of Native Peruvian bandits and guerillas who are robbing and killing all non-natives as part of their bid to resurrect the ancient Inca empire to rule Peru!
