NAIA football teams often topple NCAA D2 teams and their basketball teams prove they’re more than capable of such upsets, too. Valley City State improves to 20-6 with the win and have emerged with a victory in 5 out of their last 6 games.

7 FOR THE 7TH: COLLEGE HOCKEY’S TOP 7 TEAMS

NORWICH CADETS WIN NCAA DIVISION 3 WOMEN’S HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Norwich Cadets hockey team won the D3 women’s championship by defeating the RIT Tigers by a score of 5-2. In 2010 the Cadets made it all the way to the title game only to lose to the Amherst Lord Jeffs (yes, even their ladies teams go by the Lord Jeffs) but this year Norwich closed the deal. After an orgy of scoring in the First Period, which ended with Continue reading

ST NORBERT GREEN KNIGHTS WIN NCAA DIVISION 3’S COLLEGE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Saint Norbert College Green Knights (love that name) brought home their 2nd D3 college hockey championship by defeating the Adrian Bulldogs 4-3. O’Brien stopped 17 shots on goal and was named the Frozen Four’s Most Outstanding Player for the 2nd year in a row. The Green Knights, who led the nation in Continue reading
