FEBRUARY FRENZY: COLLEGE BASKETBALL AND HOCKEY RESULTS FROM FEBRUARY 26TH

 The Monroe College Tribunes (logo at left) won the 2012 NJCAA College Hockey Championship by defeating the equally cool-named Williston State Tetons 4-2 in the title game yesterday.

The Tetons (as in the mountains of that name) started off the scoring with a power play goal just a few minutes into the game, but the Tribunes came back to lead the game 2-1 by the end of the First Period. Both goaltenders shut the opposition out in the Second Period but Continue reading →
