The ongoing war being waged against the rest of us by Democrats is still in full swing on various fronts. Portland and Seattle remain virtual battlegrounds thanks to Democrat rioters and last night Chicago joined them as Democrats looted and ravaged throughout the night. The three Mormon Wars in American history resulted in less damage and violence than this 2020 Democrat War.
Democrats not only cheer on the rioters and their fascist Antifa – really KLANtifa – stormtroopers but work to defund and/ or paralyze the efforts of authorities to deal with the ongoing mayhem. In addition, the Democrats’ media outlets still try passing all of this off as “peaceful protests.”
The 2016 election may well be remembered as a time when an American election did NOT truly result in a peaceful transfer of power. Democrats still refuse to accept the results of that election and have been growing more and more violent by the month. They also try blaming their victims for the violence by not voting the way Democrats wanted them to four years ago. The last time Democrats grew this hate-filled and divisive was when Abraham Lincoln was elected and they vowed to resist his so-called “tyranny.”
It seems that this November’s election results may not be known for months as Democrats keep pushing fraud-friendly “mail-in voting.” See below for links to the latest stories about the abundant chicanery involved in the process. And that’s just on the minor scale it’s been done in the past. With the sheer volume of mail-in ballots that the Democrats are encouraging – well, probably MANUFACTURING when all is said and done – we may not know the presidential tally before the New Year.
The Democrats tried similar stunts in 2016 if you’ll recall, when they kept pressuring members of the Electoral College to change their votes to Hillary Clinton from Donald Trump. They dragged their frantic claims and (yaawwn) protests over the pending election results well into December. Democrats even publicized the names, addresses and phone numbers of some Electors, obviously as an implied attempt at intimidating them into submitting to the Democrats’ demand.
This time you can bet Democrats will go on, and on, and on insisting that “not all the votes have been counted” if Trump gets reelected, but if their candidate supposedly won they will claim that continuing to count votes is an attempt to “steal” the election. The violence that Democrats have unleashed across the country recently may be just a small taste of what that party of fascists will try if they don’t get their way at the ballot box.
And when it comes to mail-in voting, Democrats have already gone so far as to insist that untold numbers of ballots WITH NO POST-MARK ON THE ENVELOPES CONTAINING THEM should still be counted. (Links below)

WHO CHECKS THE “FACT CHECKERS?” It’s no secret that the Democrats have transformed every aspect of life into an ugly political situation. “The personal is the political” is the shallow line that they have pushed for decades now in order to justify the insertion of their political prejudices into the lives of everyone around them.
Sharyl Attkisson, the Ida Tarbell of the 21st Century, has done a deep dive into the biases and prejudices of “fact checking.” The link is below, but first some excerpts:
DJANGO: AN OPERA – Here at Balladeer’s Blog I love sharing my enthusiasms. My blog posts where I provide contemporary slants to Ancient Greek Comedies to make them more accessible have been big hits over the years, so now I’m trying it with operas. A little while back I wrote about how Philip Wylie’s science fiction novel Gladiator could be done as an opera. This time I’m addressing the 1966 original version of the Spaghetti Western titled Django.
LANGUAGE: Spanish. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that most of my fellow English-speakers find English-language operas to be silly. The prosaic nature of the forced rhymes in a language we are well-versed in does seem to rob opera of its mystique and its grandeur.
Scene One: The opera would open with a stage version of one of the most iconic visuals from the 1966 film. Our title character, DJANGO, clad in his long blue jacket with his well-worn Union Army uniform underneath it, slowly, wearily drags a coffin behind him as he walks along singing his mournful song. He pulls the coffin via a rope slung across one shoulder.
And with many people home from work for the day the 2020 Frontierado Holiday Weekend has started! The actual holiday is tomorrow, August 7th, but many of you have indicated that you’ve taken to getting started on the Thursday night before, or “Frontierado Eve” I guess we could call it.
Or if you prefer your drinks with no mixers there’s plenty of the OFFICIAL bourbons of Frontierado –
MORE WILD, WILD WEST (1980) – Awhile back, Balladeer’s Blog reviewed the 1979 telefilm
Robert Conrad was back as Jim West with Ross Martin once again appearing as his sidekick Artemus Gordon. But that’s about all that went right.
Thank you to the BERNIE BROS who made me aware of this video compilation of the Top Thirty Bloopers so far by the senile, demented and corrupt Joe Biden. Watch this and you’ll realize part of the reason that President Trump’s approval rating just reached another high in Rasmussen Polls and is, in fact, higher than Obama’s approval rating was at this same time in 2012!
LATITUDE ZERO (1969) – Just as absence makes the heart grow fonder, the unavailability of certain movies over extended periods lends them a certain mystique that they can’t possibly live up to when they are finally released once again to the public. Recently Balladeer’s Blog dealt with this while reviewing the long locked-away movie Toomorrow, starring a young Olivia Newton John. Now it’s Latitude Zero‘s turn.
Unfortunately, it’s neither the “science fiction classic” nor the “so bad it’s good masterpiece” that it was hyped as during its period in video exile. A bathysphere containing two scientists and a newsman is rescued from destruction by a futuristic submarine and taken to an underwater utopia. Japan misleadingly marketed the movie as if it was a sequel to Atragon, oddly enough.
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STARTED IN DODGE CITY – The Las Vegas in this article is Las Vegas, NEW MEXICO, not the more famous Las Vegas in Nevada. This lesser known Las Vegas held a degree of renown from the 1846-1848 war with Mexico onward. Its earliest history dated back to the 1600s.
