MUSLIM ATROCITIES: A SMALL SAMPLING OF THE LATEST

Can’t you just feel the love?

Just a small sampling of the latest atrocities perpetrated by Muslim fanatics – practitioners of the most homophobic, misogynistic, intolerant, superstitious and violent religion in the world at this particular point in history.

Cowardly apologists for Islam love to pretend that the delicate little darlings are always entirely justified in their non-stop killing, genital mutilation of women, etc so I have no illusions that they will care about any of this. To those would-be Kapos for Islam if someone is killed by a Muslim that means the dead victim had it coming.  

NIGERIA – Boko Haram, the Nigerian franchise of the global enterprise called I.S.L.A.M. (Intolerant Savages Loathing All Modernity) still haven’t released the female captives that the world pretended to care about for approximately 30 seconds. In fact they’ve taken even more captives, mutilated their genitals and have taken to using children as young as 10 as improvised suicide bombers. What a peaceful religion!   Continue reading →

NEGLECTED GODS FROM POPULAR PANTHEONS

Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog are familiar with my tendency to examine neglected pantheons of deities, as in Vietnamese, Bunyoro, Inuit, Tupari, Navajo and other Native American tribes.

When I covered popular pantheons I avoided the major gods to prevent rehashing the same myths many people were already familiar with. That enabled me to spread some love to the less appreciated deities in those pantheons. Here’s a convenient guide to those items:

The Usual Suspects: Thor, Odin, Loki, Sif and Baldur

Sampling of the Deities I Covered Instead: Skadi the mountain goddess, Ull the hunting god, Forseti, the god of the laws, Aegir the sea god and Hodur the god of darkness.   

Top Deity on List: Hel, Loki’s daughter and the goddess who ruled over the land of the dead, inflicting misery on anyone too wimpy to die in battle.

Comment: I first did this list in 2011 and since then the popularity of the Thor movies and of tv shows like The Vikings and The Almighty Johnsons have sent interest in Norse mythology through the roof.

Special thanks to Balladeer’s Blog’s Official Movie Hostess, the beautiful Casey James, as she helps present another look at a bad or weird superhero film. This time around the subject is the 1968 Mexican film Batwoman (La Mujer Murcielago).

Batwoman 1For starters this should NOT be confused with the Jerry Warren film The Wild, Wild World of Batwoman, but often is because Warren was the stateside distributor for plenty of Mexican films in the 50s and 60s. This movie is purely a Luchadora film with Batwoman being a wrestler as well as a seasoned crime fighter.   

It’s not quite fair to call this a “bad” film, but it is a bit of a weird one. In my view it’s much tighter and more entertaining than most of the El Santo movies from Mexico. And I’m not just saying that because of how incredibly sexy the star Maura Monti is. She has an arresting (see what I did there) figure that’s perfect for her version of the Batwoman outfit: a bikini, boots, mask and cape. 

Batwoman 2Like the Turkish movie Three Dev Adam, which features Spider-Man, Captain America and El Santo, this little honey did not pay for character rights but slipped under the radar long ago thanks to its south-of-the- border origins. Maura Monti has a certain screen presence that was lacking in other Luchadora flicks like Wrestling Women vs the Aztec Mummy. And this movie is nowhere near the embarrassment that Halle Berry’s Catwoman was. Continue reading →

COLLEGE BASKETBALL RESULTS

green_terror_mascotUPSET IN THE TOP TEN – The MCDANIEL COLLEGE GREEN TERROR had the Gill Center rocking on Saturday as they toppled the number 10 team in the nation – the FRANKLIN & MARSHALL COLLEGE DIPLOMATS. The Green Terror had the visiting Diplomats worried by Halftime, at which point the score was knotted up at 28-28. The 2nd Half remained a defensive epic and in the end McDaniel prevailed in a tight 59-58 stunner. Cameron Royster led the Green Terror in scoring with his 17 points.  

bethel pilots NEWCENTURY CLUB – NAIA – The Century Club is reserved each week for teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation. The BETHEL (IN) COLLEGE PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots) welcomed the MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS and trailed at the break by a score of 42-39. In the 2nd Half the Pilots seized control of the game, outscoring the Cougars 65-36 on their way to a 104-78 blowout victory. Bethel improves to 17-3 with the win.   Continue reading →

PULP HERO G-8 AND HIS BATTLE ACES: STORIES NINETY-FOUR TO NINETY-SIX

Squadron of the Flying DeadBalladeer’s Blog resumes its look at the neglected Pulp Hero G-8. This is a story-by- story look at the adventures of this World War One American fighter pilot who – along with his two wingmen the Battle Aces – took on various super-natural and super- scientific menaces thrown at the Allied Powers by the Central Powers of Germany, Austria- Hungary and the Ottoman Muslim Turks.

G-8 was created by Robert J Hogan in 1933 when World War One was still being called simply the World War or the Great War. Over the next eleven years Hogan wrote 110 stories featuring the adventures of G-8, the street-smart pug Nippy Weston and the brawny giant Bull Martin, his two Battle Aces.

G-8 and his Battle Aces find themselves in India and Afghanistan this time around, where another native-born menace has joined forces with the Central Powers to try to drive the hated British Empire out for good.

His name is Akhan, High Priest of the fictional Khush sect, a Thugee-type cult who also dabble in raising the dead. An army of walking skeletons is conjured up and unleashed on British Empire forces with our heroes being the only chance of thwarting Akhan’s plans.  Continue reading →

Obama chickenBarack Obama has been called “the piece of dogshit stubbornly clinging to the bottom of history’s shoes” mostly because of his weakness, ineptitude and outright crookedness. He’s also despised for his gutless pandering to the worst elements of radical Islam. Obama loves to lecture the world that not all Muslims are hate-filled, intolerant and violent, yet his every foreign policy move caters to and empowers ONLY the most hate-filled, intolerant and violent elements of the Muslim world.

Whenever moderate Muslims come forward or speak out Obama dismisses them as puppets of the West. Silly Little Barry has even made the ridiculous claim that the Muslim world has “moral superiority” to the West because of colonialism, ignoring the fact that the Muslim world’s colonialism in Africa AND its involvement in the African slave trade PRE-DATED the Western World’s involvement by CENTURIES. Islam was not indigenous to the African continent. It was spread through blood and conquest, as religions always are.

Obama is especially cowardly when it comes to Muslim terrorism. He loves to pretend that everyone killed by Muslims somehow had it coming and that it is wrong to connect Islam to murderers who cry “Allahu Akbar” and he has even made the ridiculous claim that the Islamic State is not really Islamic.
