Happy Presidents Day Weekend! Balladeer’s Blog’s seasonal posts continue with this look at the presidential election of 1912.
I won’t bury this item in unnecessary detail to the point where it becomes boring. My emphasis will be on its three-way battle’s relevance to us today.
DEMOCRAT: Woodrow Wilson, the victor. To this very day many Republicans blame Wilson for starting the country on its path toward all the things they don’t like.
They ignore the fact that their own party’s movers and shakers of the time spitefully ensured Wilson’s victory by refusing to accept the popular Theodore Roosevelt as the Republican candidate.
That drove him to the Third Party called the Progressive Party, thus splitting the anti-Wilson vote in such a way that enabled the Democrat to win.
PROGRESSIVE: Former Republican President Theodore Roosevelt had come out of retirement to run again because he was thoroughly disenchanted with his hand-picked successor, incumbent Republican President William Howard Taft.
The reason? Theodore felt that Taft was undoing the few inroads that he (Theodore) had made against the moneyed rich pig class. Republican tycoons of the time often expressed their feeling that Teddy was a traitor to his class – an accusation that they would REALLY overuse against Theodore’s Democrat cousin Franklin Roosevelt decades later. Independent Voter site Balladeer’s Blog has repeatedly pointed out that the Democrat and Republican Parties are nothing but rival gangs of white-collar criminals. De facto Third Party President Donald Trump was a true outsider and genuinely helped the working class and the poor plus he kept the country out of any new wars, so he is still being persecuted for all of that. 
Last week I posted about the Circuit Judge ruling that the Democrats counting ballots that arrived with no postmark days after the election was illegal and should not be done again. There are over two dozen court cases STILL going on – links below with updates.

JOE BIDEN STILL HAS KIDS IN CAGES – Okay, for this one, I won’t bother since we all know that anti-Trump fascists only pretended to care about kids in cages just so they could attack Trump. The repulsive hypocrites are/ were fine with Biden and Obama having kids in cages. They’re also fine with Gitmo, which they pretended to hate when Obama promised to close it down over ten years ago. (PSSST. It’s STILL open.) 
Independent Voter site Balladeer’s Blog notes that de facto Third Party President Donald Trump has been nominated once again for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his peace efforts around the world and for being the first American president in several decades to not launch any new wars during his term. It’s no secret that Techno-Fascists like Jack Dorsey and his ilk have been waging war on freedom of expression. Big Tech has shown that it is all about corporate fascism. They really are publishers, not just providers of platforms, and deserve no Section 230 protections and should have their would-be monopoly on communication broken up.

Independent Voter site Balladeer’s Blog is still impressed with nominal Democrat Tulsi Gabbard. She may have joined in the general overreaction to the Capitol protests but she is calling out people like Democrat Adam Schiff, the privileged white Big Tech rich pigs and former CIA Director John Brennan. 
One of the reasons I used to be a Democrat was because of the Democrats’ outspoken criticism of the CIA and its activities. In recent years the Democrats have sold out and seem to have decided that the CIA’s dirty tricks are okay as long as they help the Democrat Party. 
Gabbard alleged that they are also “much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol.”
