I am back after we had an area-wide power outage since yesterday morning. I will post more later today but in the meantime here’s an evergreen post that becomes more relevant every year even though it’s basically a comedy bit.
DEMOCRAT SLOGANS

BALLADEER’S BLOG
“Many a true word is spoken in jest” as the old saying goes, and that becomes ever more valid by the year regarding Balladeer’s Blog’s handy list of Democrat Slogans. These slogans capture what the Democrats have REALLY become, not the glowing image that they have of themselves.
Back in 2017, when I started compiling this semi-annual post I didn’t realize how hard the Democrats would work to prove how accurate these tongue-in-cheek slogans for them are. (I used to be a Democrat until I turned Independent.)
DEMOCRATS: YOU PEASANTS ARE ALLOWED TO SAY, DO, WRITE OR POST ON THE INTERNET ONLY THOSE THINGS WHICH DON’T UPSET US DEMOCRATS.
DEMOCRATS: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SIMPLE-MINDED FASCISTS IN LARGE NUMBERS!
DEMOCRATS: WE’RE THE CONFIRMATION BIAS COMMUNITY!
DEMOCRATS: ALL OF OUR OPINIONS SHOULD CARRY THE FORCE OF LAW!
DEMOCRATS: WE OVERUSED THE WORD “RACIST” TO THE POINT OF MEANINGLESSNESS. NOW WE’RE DOING THE SAME WITH “WHITE SUPREMACIST” AND OUR NEW FAVORITE: “TRANSPHOBE!”
DEMOCRATS: WE ARE THE FASCISTS WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
DEMOCRATS: THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE TRUTH … UNLESS IT’S ONE OF OUR PARTY’S TALKING POINTS.
DEMOCRATS: WE’RE STILL WAGING WAR ON AN AMERICA THAT HASN’T EXISTED FOR DECADES!
DEMOCRATS: ONLY THOSE NEWS OUTLETS WHICH PANDER TO OUR PREJUDICES AND PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS ARE ACCURATE. ALL OTHERS ARE PROPAGANDA. Continue reading
ALIEN: NO MAN’S LAND (2024) is a top tier Fan Film that goes far beyond the majority of such efforts. This item runs less than 29 minutes and deals with an encounter between the Alien franchise’s xenomorphs and World War One Brits and Aussies set in No Man’s Land.
SILVER SURFER Vol 1 #1 (August 1968)
FIRST SEMIFINAL – The WELCH COLLEGE FLAMES did battle with the BOYCE COLLEGE BULLDOGS.
A JOURNEY TO THE WORLD UNDERGROUND BY NICHOLAS KLIMIUS (1741) – This novel was written by Danish author Ludvig Holberg and became a European sensation. Like Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, Holberg’s work in this book had satirical political meaning and though the issues and social criticism no longer apply to the modern-day world, the fundamental story structure still holds up on its own.
The rope breaks, and Nicholas falls so far that his colleagues assume he was killed. Actually, Klimius fell down into the often-theorized Hollow Earth. In this case with an interior sun and small worlds in orbit around it.

RED RIVER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS clashed with the UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTHWEST MUSTANGS for the RRAC crown. The Generals compiled a comfortable 47-32 advantage by Halftime. After the break they managed even more separation from the Mustangs, ultimately defeating them handily 90-72. Kashie Natt led LSU-Alexandria in scoring with his 24 points.
SPACE MONSTER WANGMAGWI (1967) – This attempt by South Korea to compete with Japan in kaiju films came out the same year as the much more famous Yongary, Monster from the Deep. Space Monster Wangmagwi was produced by an all-South Korean team, while Yongary was made with Japanese assistance.
The Gammans have oddly-colored faces but that’s all we can see of them in their suits of armor, which are like the Tin Man meets the Cybermen. The conversation among these aliens as they orbit our planet is the usual grim but hilariously contradictory alien gibberish in kaijus about how Earth stands no chance, or maybe we do, and their monster Wangmagwi will eat everyone on Earth and THEN the space fleet will move in. Or he’ll attack in unison with the fleet. Hey, just keep it cazh, dude!
USTINOV AD LIB (1966) – This comedy special was first aired by BBC1’s anthology series Sunday Night at 8:10PM on April 10th, 1966. In addition to the venerable Peter Ustinov himself the special featured Dudley Moore and Antony Hopkins (NOT Anthony Hopkins).
