OBAMA NAILED FOR DISTORTING INTELLIGENCE INFO ON THE ISLAMIC STATE

Obama work here is doneAlready thoroughly humiliated by the way his premature withdrawal from Iraq spawned the Islamic State and its daily atrocities Barack Obama has now been exposed by over 50 intelligence officials coming forward about his administration’s distortion of information.

Borrowing from Lyndon Johnson’s distortions and lies about the Vietnam War, Little Barry has been applying pressure through his political hacks to slant and distort intelligence on the battle with ISIS to make it look like the conflict is going well AND to make it look like the Islamic State poses much less of a threat than it really does.

For a person who seems to think “history” means only the Vietnam War and Western abuses Obama ignores the lessons even his own very limited and simple-minded knowledge of the past should convey to him.   Continue reading →

BAYBAYAN: PHILIPPINE EPIC MYTH PART SEVEN

Balladeer’s Blog continues its examination of this epic myth of the Bukidnon people of the Philippines.

Philippines Map 3With the menace of the giants and the dragons now behind them, Baybayan and his hundreds of surviving followers continued their journey toward Skyland, the home of the gods. The ship transporting them was the Salimbal, the divine craft sent down by the supreme deity Magbabaya.

The demigod Baybayan was looking back at the faraway Earth by way of his godly senses. He noticed the granary that his industrious disciples had filled with rice and did not want the precious food to go to waste.

Selecting a pair of the saliyao bells that lined the Salimbal, Baybayan threw them back to the Earth, transforming them into the very first male and female Maya bird. These birds and their young would feed on the rice in the granary. Since that day Maya birds have fed on rice from Philippine rice fields. For a non-believer and Independent Voter like me this is the ideal day to point out that there is no god named Allah and Muhammad was a false prophet. Islam is at LEAST as blood-soaked as any other religion and it is definitely the most homophobic and misogynistic religion in the world at this particular point in history.

Here is Balladeer’s Blog’s September 11th Anniversary post, in which I examine the way Liberal fanatics and Conservative fanatics would have dealt with events IF the 9-11 attacks had been thwarted.

Several years ago a big deal was made over whether or not the 9-11 attacks could have been prevented by greater coordination between elements of the intelligence community. Amid the predictable partisan bickering and childish finger- pointing that characterized the 9-11 Commision and its findings an important consideration was overlooked.

That consideration was how events would have unfolded if the attacks had actually been thwarted. Let’s take a quick look at both the Liberal idiocy and the Conservative idiocy that would have followed.

The Colossal Man will square off against his latest foe …

Episode Two of the hottest new cable show in the land airs tonight. That program is American Kaiju from cult film and television director Eddie Wozniak. The brilliant premise of the show: Wozniak pits “big” creatures from 1950s American schlock films against each other in the style of 1960s and 1970s Japanese Kaiju movies.

Last week’s premier episode saw Glenn Manning, the 60 ft tall Colossal Man, battling the giant buzzard from outer space featured in the film The Giant Claw. Tonight Manning clashes with the gigantic spider from Earth vs the Spider.

The spider was mutated by radiation (naturally) and is rampaging through Phoenix, AZ when the government summons its special operative the Colossal Man to leave his Area 51 home and save thousands of lives from the atomic arachnid. Continue reading →

The divine ship called the Salimbal rose ever higher, bearing the demigod Baybayan and his hundreds of surviving followers toward Skyland, the home of the gods.

Eventually the craft entered the realm of the giants, three-eyed man-eating beasts with upturned lips. The giants shook the Salimbal and tried to reach their greedy hands through the windows but the kampilan and balarao swords that hung above those windows as if on hinges came to life and sliced off any hands that were thrust into the divine ship. 

Soon the giants were all left behind, howling in pain because of their amputated hands. From there the Salimbal journeyed on to the realm of the dragons, who emerged from the clouds within which they lived to attack the ship and the pilgrims inside. Continue reading →

ASH VS THE EVIL DEAD – DEBUTING ON HALLOWEEN

Ash vs the Evil DeadBruce Campbell, Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert are launching a cable television continuation of the movie that first brought them fame and big bucks – The Evil Dead. The Brucemeister General returns to his role of Ash Williams with tongue firmly in cheek  for the type of self-deprecating humor and gross-out fun that fans have loved for decades now.

In the new Starz series Ash vs the Evil Dead the dark forces unleashed in the original film have returned 30 years later to plague Ash and various supporting characters – including one played by Lucy Lawless (Tapert’s wife), who has grown almost as pudgy as Bruce Campbell himself. That’s not meant in a nasty way, by the way. I point it out because a lot of people fail to recognize Lawless in the series trailer I link to below.

Ash vs the Evil Dead debuts on Halloween of this year. The series’ approach seems to reflect the ghoulishly fun spirit of the Army of Darkness comic book series which saw the man with the chainsaw hand and boomstick battle legions of Deadites while plagued by his frequent bad luck. Enjoy the trailer, but be warned – for some reason NOBODY says “Join us … Join us”.
