Halloween Month is flying by! Here’s another seasonal post.
A BLACK MASS (1966) – This short horror/ mythological play was written by LeRoi Jones aka Amiri Baraka and has nothing to do with Satanism. The writer played on words, meaning “black” as in his skin color, not as in the Satanic masses enacted by larping geeks trying to be edgy. (Longtime readers may remember my contempt for the fools who call themselves Satanists.)
Whenever I review works by film director Jean Rollin I always point out that his creations run the gamut from brilliant to So Bad They’re Good. In the same spirit, I’m pointing out that Jones/ Baraka’s writings have been called racist, antisemitic, misogynistic ravings as well as artistic expositions on black thinking and culture.
In A Black Mass Baraka fused elements of the Frankenstein story and zombie lore with the Nation of Islam’s myth about the black mad scientist/ evil magician Yakub. Continue reading
Earlier this month was the annual celebration over the death of one of the world’s worst hatemongers – Che Guevara. Guevara was a murderous, homophobic, racist would-be dictator propagandistically depicted as a symbol of youthful rebellion thanks to the spiteful cluelessness of Left-Wing Archie Bunkers. 
Here are some actual quotes from hatemonger Che:
“We don’t need proof to execute a man. We only need proof that it’s necessary to execute him. A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.” (Note from Balladeer: Gee, I thought the poseurs and buffoons of the Left said they’re AGAINST “hate.”)
As Halloween Month continues, here’s a look at my favorite Jean Rollin vampire films. Note that these are not my all-time favorite movies about vampires, just my favorites by Rollin.

THE SHIVER OF THE VAMPIRES (1970) – In my view this is the first real example of a Rollin vampire film. His Rape of the Vampire definitely showed how inexperienced he was at horror, while The Nude Vampire had those undertones of sci-fi that I mentioned above.

Halloween Month continues as Balladeer’s Blog takes an anticipatory look at Terrifier 3, which hits theaters tomorrow, October 11th. Despite making his first appearance in 2008, Art – the blood-and-gore-soaked supernatural killer of the Terrifier franchise – still gets hailed as a “new” figure because general audiences were unaware of him until 2016. 
It has literally been years since Balladeer’s Blog did a post in my Transgress with Me series, so here we go. For newbies, I’m an Independent Voter who used to be a Democrat until they became such intolerant fascists. At present, it’s the Democrats who are the worst authoritarians and hatemongers, but I have bashed figures from both major political parties here.
*** Democrat dishonesty has become even worse and is spiraling out of control. The number of lies they try to force the rest of us to believe is always growing, especially the Democrat insistence that some males menstruate and some men can naturally get pregnant. Some “party of science.”
