The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference threw out the first pitch yesterday in postseason play for the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). The ever- dangerous INDIANA UNIVERSITY- SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS came in as the 3 seeds and opened up the proverbial can of whupass on the 6th seeded ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE EAGLES. The college sports gods always smile when a team with an overused name like Eagles, Tigers, Bulldogs or Wildcats gets routed and the Grenadiers were happy to oblige!
IUS led 4-1 after the 1st Inning and 7-1 after the 2nd. The Grenadiers then went on to put up 4, 1 and 3 runs respectively in the 7th, 8th and 9th Innings on their way to an impressive FIFTEEN to ONE humilation of the Eagles.
