LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES AND ANDREA CHENIER: AN OPERA FOR OUR TIME
Over the past decade or so I’ve grown fonder and fonder of Umberto Giordano’s 1896 opera Andrea Chenier. Like many Americans I used to consider myself a Liberal before Liberalism became as oppressive, totalitarian and intellectually suffocating as Christian Conservatism had always been. I’ve never gone as far as people like Roger Simon, David Horowitz and others who went overboard the other way and became Conservatives but I definitely despise the cowardly hypocrites and mindless conformists called American Liberals.
Andrea Chenier, the title figure of Giordano’s opera, was a poet who happily embraced the French Revolution at the outset but later grew appalled at the excesses of the Reign of Terror. He courageously wrote condemnations of the Jacobins, whom he felt distorted the original aims of the Revolution and turned it into a vehicle for their own personal abuse of power.
Chenier paid the price for his courage and for speaking his conscience. He was guillotined a few days before the mass executions ended. The demented zealots of the American Left have likewise gone too far and similarly turn on former allies over the slightest departure from dogma. Giordano’s opera is not entirely about such themes but I find myself going back to it at least once a year in these times because of how much the message still resonates.
American Liberals have become nothing but fascists who disregard other people’s civil rights and ignore the rule of law. They favor censorship on a massive scale, the rewriting of history to suit their political fetishes of the moment and the blacklisting of anyone who opposes them. Worst of all are the 1960’s generation of Liberals. They are far too spineless to address the real issues so they endlessly restage old battles against wrongs that were corrected long ago. And all the while they pretend they’re the Young Turks in town, pushing daring new ideas even though all they do is regurgitate the conventional wisdom from five decades ago. Continue reading

NEW YORK TIMES WRITER CALLS OBAMA “THE GREATEST THREAT TO PRESS FREEDOM IN A GENERATION”
It’s no secret that the weak, inept and crooked little man named Barack Obama hates Free Speech. It IS new for the New York Times, usually an Obama shoe-shine organization, to publicly acknowledge it. James Risen called Little Barry “the greatest threat to press freedom in a generation” AND even more surprisingly Obama publicist Maureen Dowd is the one writing about it.

You spineless fools can also refrain from ever again embarrassing yourselves trying to say that Muslim violence is no worse than Christian or Jewish violence. UNTIL YOU COWARDS CAN SEND ME PICTURES OF TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CHRISTIANS, JEWS, BUDDHISTS, HINDUS, ETC BEHEADING PEOPLE BY THE HUNDREDS AND PROUDLY POSTING PICS OF THEIR CHILDREN DISPLAYING THE HEADS OF THEIR VICTIMS – I repeat – UNTIL you can send me photos of that on a regular basis like we can do with the superstitious, homophobic and misogynistic barbarians of Islam there is NO reason to take your whiny protestations seriously when you complain about civilized people NOTICING that Islam and Islam alone continues to behave in this savage manner. OBAMA: MORE SLEAZINESS FROM THE 21st CENTURY NIXON
THE CROOK TRYING TO MAKE HIS GETAWAY.
Barack Obama has turned out to be the most incompetent and corrupt U.S. president in history. In addition to the long list of established scandals plaguing this weak, inept and crooked little man a new element has been added. This week forty-seven of the Inspectors General who independently monitor governmental offices to uncover fraud, waste and mismanagement have appealed to Congress for help.
The white-collar criminals of the Obama Administration have been covering up, stonewalling and refusing to cooperate with those agencies THE WAY THAT PAST PRESIDENTS OF BOTH PARTIES HAVE COOPERATED. From the Justice Department down to the Chemical Safety Board the Inspectors General have jointly appealed to Congressional leaders to do their jobs and take action against the lawless administration.
Obama’s most repulsive feature is this way he has cynically exploited the fact that he is the country’s first African American president by frequently violating the separation of powers and his oath of office, relying on the country’s genuine good will to skate by. Continue reading

AGENTS OF I.S.L.A.M: EPISODE FOUR
I.S.L.A.M. – Where you’re never too young to learn to kill and kill and kill some more.
The summer of 2014 will forever be remembered as the summer when Agents of I.S.L.A.M. took the nation by storm. This sensational cable television series features the savagely superstitious practitioners of a bloodthirsty religion which is never explicitly named in the series. I.S.L.A.M. (Intolerant Savages Loathing All Modernity) operatives want all gay people dead and treat women like slaves, even mutilating their genitals.
Last night’s episode featured the religious maniacs (I’d love to know what religion they are supposed to represent but producer/director Eddie Wozniak still refuses to say) committing atrocities around the world. Among the actions taken by these barbarians included:
a) shelling a hospital full of their own people and blaming it on another country
b) enslaving hundreds of Yazidi women in Iraq

CHLOE VALDARY PERFECTLY CRUSHES THE BLOOD-SOAKED HYPOCRITES WHO SUPPORT HAMAS
CHLOE VALDARY
Self-described “angry black woman” Chloe Valdary has absolutely NAILED the vile hypocrisy of self-congratulatory “activists” who try to defend Hamas butchery as a “struggle for freedom”. Valdary especially objects to the way that pompous hypocrites from Students for “Justice” In Palestine (SJP) try to equate the actions of the blood-crazed Palestinian terrorists with the Civil Rights struggle of African Americans.
Valdary also delves into one of my own favorite arguments – the atrocities perpetrated throughout the Middle East and Africa by Muslim colonialist forces long ago, including slavery. Read on for highlights and a link to her entire piece:

• If your heroes are clerics who sit in Gaza plotting the genocide of a people; who place their children on rooftops in the hopes they will get blown to bits; who heap praises upon their fellow gang members when they succeed in murdering Jewish school boys and bombing places of activity where Jews congregate—you do not get to claim that you are some Apollonian advocate of human virtue. ISIS in Iraq has taken a momentary break from beheading people and labeling Christian homes with an “N” for Nazarene to resume their demented faith’s typical misogyny. The superstitious savages ordered the genital mutilation of all females 11 to 46 years of age. Meanwhile, spoiled and brainless Americans like Sandra Fluke continue to disgust the world by remaining silent about this. If I contacted the shallow and clueless Sandra for a comment I imagine she might say something like “Well at least those women aren’t being told they have to pay for their own birth control. Now THAT would constitute a War on Women, dammit! Heroic women like me suffer much more every day than any women who live in the Muslim world!” Continue reading
