Eugene Cernan, our last lunar explorer, passed away. Here is a recap of that final Apollo Mission to the moon, Apollo 17.

Lunar Module Challenger Pilot: Harrison H Schmitt
This final manned expedition to the moon was launched on December 7th, 1972 at 12:33am. This was the only after-dark launch of the Apollo Program. On December 11th at 12:20pm the Challenger set down in the Littrow Valley of the Taurus Mountain region of the moon.
The Mission: Apollo 17 broke several records set by previous Apollo missions. Those records included the longest manned lunar landing flight, the most and longest extra-vehicular activities on the moon and the largest haul of lunar materials – 243 pounds. Continue reading

No institution has been more racist than the Democrat Party. Democrats championed slavery and fought for its spread into the new territories and an entire Civil War was fought on behalf of the interests of Democrat slave-owners.
Democrats in Congress tried to sabotage Abraham Lincoln’s war effort against slavery. Still more Democrats formed the Ku Klux Klan after the Civil War and continued harassing and oppressing African Americans for several decades. Democrats masterminded Jim Crow injustices.
Democrat Roger B Taney, a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, authored the atrocious Dred Scott Decision claiming African-Americans were not people. Democrat President Andrew Jackson’s oppression of Native Americans included the Trail of Tears and other atrocities.
Martin Luther King – whose birthday is observed throughout this holiday weekend – was, like Abraham Lincoln, a Republican. Democrats continue promoting race-hatred to this very day and try to downplay the fact that King was a Republican.
Some of the most courageous champions of Doctor King’s dream of a society in which people are judged by their character rather than their skin color are PEOPLE OF COLOR WHO DARE TO DEFY THE WHITE LIBERALS WHO DOMINATE THE DEMOCRAT PARTY. Here is a look at some of those heroic women. I will cover the men separately.

The Incredibly Strange Film Show and Son of the Incredibly Strange Film Show are must-see viewing for any fan of bad and weird movies. They were originally produced in England and weren’t shown here in the U.S. until the early 1990s when the Discovery Channel aired them.
This program’s fun, witty approach to the subject matter made a huge impact and helped inspire interest in bad movie culture.
A large part of the charm of this show came from its wonderful host, Jonathan Ross, back in the days before he was in constant need of a haircut and a thorough shampooing. Even Ross’s lisp added somehow to the cultish atmosphere as he would welcome viewers to “this week’s instawwment of The Incwedibwy Stwange Fiwm Show”.
Rather than do a scattershot look at some of the staples of the bad movie subculture this program did an oeuvre by oeuvre examination of many of the legendary directors of cult movies. Ross’s off-kilter sense of humor and infectious playfulness were especially effective in the interview segments, which were anything but dry. Continue reading

As always Muslim fanatics continue to kill and kill and kill in countries all around the world. They’ve been doing it for CENTURIES but the Left-Wing Archie Bunkers who pretend to be “educators” in the Western World try their best to obscure that fact. They also try to whitewash Islam’s history of slavery as well, plus its misogyny, homophobia and oppression of religious minorities.
January 1st: Kareto, Nigeria – Boko Haram, the local franchise of the Global Muslim Fascist Murder Machine, BEHEADED 15 innocent people.
January 1st: Nertiti, Sudan – Muslim fascists machine-gunned 11 innocent people to death and injured SIXTY more while attacking them in their own homes.
January 7th: Kwayine, Nigeria – Islamofascists stormed a village and killed 10 innocent people just for being non-Muslims. COEXISTENCE!
January 13th: Madagali, Nigeria – Four female Muslim suicide bombers killed 9 innocent people and injured over 15 more.
January 6th: Fort Lauderdale, Florida – A Muslim fascist killed 5 innocent people and injured 6 more. Obama still claims there have been no such incidents on U.S. soil during his presidency. Continue reading

DARK INTRUDER (1965) – This thoroughly enjoyable piece of Forgotten Television was a failed pilot for a series. Supposedly the network passed on it because they thought it was too scary and gruesome for tv viewers of the time. Instead they released this 59-minute black & white gem to theaters as the second title for double features.
The story is set in 1891 San Francisco with Leslie Nielsen himself starring as Brett Kingsford, an occult expert and investigator. If this had been picked up as a series the title was going to be The Black Cloak and apparently would have been a forerunner of The Norliss Tapes, Kolchak and Spectre. In my opinion the period setting would have given The Black Cloak the edge, though.
Brett Kingsford maintains a quasi-secret identity. On the surface he’s known in San Francisco as a bon vivant and ladies’ man and when the police want to consult him over something supernatural he dons various disguises to rendezvous with them. That way nobody in his usual social circles is made aware of his connections with the cops. Continue reading

Balladeer’s Blog remains the only site on the web that equally criticizes American Liberals and American Conservatives. This time around I’m looking at two of the biggest lies American Liberals tell about illegal immigration.
A. American Liberals love to claim that illegal immigrants “do the jobs Americans aren’t willing to do.”
Actually they do the jobs that pompous, snobbish American Liberals aren’t willing to do, but Americans who function in the REAL world are perfectly willing to do those jobs.
B. Remember when American Liberals told us that NAFTA would create so many jobs in Mexico that the problem of illegal immigration would go away because Mexican people would no longer need to enter the U.S. illegally in search of work? Continue reading

NO SURVIVORS PLEASE (1964) – This obscure black & white wonder from West Germany is one of the most memorably weird movies of its time. It’s not easy to describe what makes it so appealing. The fundamental story – aliens plan to wipe out all life on Earth – has been done too many times to count. Not even their method is all that unique – the ET’s project their consciousness into the bodies of freshly-dead human beings – has been done in other movies.
No Survivors Please is certainly not cheap, either. The action takes place in various international locations, the actors were all reasonably big in Europe at the time and the production values are impressive. There are no laughable spaceships, no goofy-looking aliens and no lame monsters on the loose.
There’s just something about this film, though. While not colossally bad it still keeps you laughing the entire running time. A large part of the reason is the fact that the people who get possessed by the aliens often behave LESS weirdly than the supposedly “normal” people do. Continue reading
