ANOTHER U.S. NAVAL VICTORY OVER MUSLIM NAVIES

Commodore John Rodgers, who was a Captain at the time of this battle.

Commodore John Rodgers, who was a Captain at the time of this battle.

With Veteran’s Day approaching here’s another neglected U.S. military action against Muslim forces.

June 21st, 1803 – I’m skipping ahead to this battle since it featured the USS Enterprise in action again and for pop culture reasons that seemed to really goose the reaction to the previous Enterprise victory. We’re still in the First Barbary War.

Off the coast of what is now Libya the USS Enterprise was maintaining our blockade on the east, the USS Adams on the west and the USS John Adams in the center. The Muslims sent out a polacre plus nine gunboats to do battle. Hundreds of Muslim infantry and cavalry lined the shore, ready to open fire on the American vessels if the battle brought them within range. Continue reading

MODERN EDUCAYSHUN: HILARIOUS SHORT VIDEO

It’s no secret that the aged 1960s generation of Liberals distorted education from being a process intended to open minds and challenge preconceived notions and left it in its present state: a make-believe “education” in which emotional cripples pretend they are college students while avoiding any and all opinions that might offend their hopelessly outdated “teachers.”

Here’s an entertaining video by Neel Kolhatkar. The video ridicules the hyper-sensitive fools on campuses and their totalitarian “teachers.”

DEPARTMENT S: FORGOTTEN TELEVISION

departmentsdvdaust_lDEPARTMENT S (1968-1970) – Department S was a fictional department of Interpol and was a  highly specialized unit called in to investigate exceptionally mind-boggling mysteries that left all other authorities baffled.

A passenger plane lands after being missing for six days but with the hundreds of passengers all swearing that mere hours passed for them? Call in Dept S.

An entire town disappears except for one woman who was asleep from tranquilizers? Call in Dept S.

In an abandoned factory an elaborately constructed room is discovered, elegantly furnished but with bars on the doors plus a dead woman and a gibbering, demented man inside? Call in Dept S. Continue reading

U.S. NAVY VS MUSLIM NAVIES

Enterprise over the TripoliWith Veteran’s Day approaching Balladeer’s Blog will be examining various neglected military actions of the past, including our forgotten wars with Muslim nations.

August 1st, 1801 – The U.S.S. Enterprise engaged in battle with the Muslim ship Tripoli from what is now Libya. This action was part of the First Barbary War, fought over the escalating demands for tribute from the Muslim criminal nations that preyed on Mediterranean shipping.

The Enterprise was commanded by Lt Andrew Sterett and the Tripoli by Muhammad Rous. The Tripoli attacked the Enterprise but Sterett outmaneuvered the Muslim ship and the vessels exchanged fire for roughly three hours before the Tripoli pretended to surrender.

The fake surrender was, even then, an old Muslim tactic. The apparent surrender prompted the American ship to stop firing and move in close to accept the surrender. The Muslims on board the Tripoli then resumed firing and attempted to board the Enterprise when it drew near.  Continue reading

MWINDO: EPIC MYTH OF AFRICA PART THIRTEEN

Balladeer’s Blog continues its examination of this epic myth of the Nyanga people.

PART THIRTEEN

cavernMwindo, the semidivine hero, stood at the entranceway to Munundu, the subterranean realm of the aardvark god Ntumba. (Munundu was also used as an epithet for Ntumba himself.) Mwindo had spotted his evil father Shemwindo hiding inside Munundu and talking with Ntumba himself.

The hero sang a song about all the evil Shemwindo had committed and demanded that Ntumba send him out or he would destroy his entire kingdom and defeat him as he had defeated Muisa the god of the dead. Inside Munundu the aardvark god told Shemwindo how annoyed he was at the trouble he had caused by seeking refuge in his kingdom. Still, he directed him to a rear cavern through which he could escape if Mwindo carried out his threats.  Continue reading

MUSLIM RAPISTS AND THEIR “JOURNALIST” ENABLERS

Once again Pat Condell hits it out of the park when it comes to the mass rapes being committed by Muslim males in Europe. They’ve already made Sweden the rape capital of Europe (seriously – that’s not a sarcastic comment, it’s fact) and political hacks who pretend to be journalists enable the Muslim rapists the way the Catholic church often enabled child-molesting priests by covering up for them.

As accurate as Condell is about Islam’s misogyny he is even more dead-on about the repulsive creatures who masquerade as reporters. Everything Condell says about “journalists” in Sweden goes double or even triple for reporters in the U.S.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

Northeastern_Oklahoma_AMIt was on November 6th, 1869 that Rutgers and Princeton played the very first college football game “on the banks of the Raritan” as the Rutgers fight song says. One of the things I love about college football is how far back its history goes.

It feels odd to think that Ulysses S Grant was in the White House when Continue reading

REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE FIFTH OF NOVEMBER …

V for VendettaYes, it’s once again Guy Fawkes Day, the day we celebrate figures who became symbols of the exact opposite things they represented in their actual lives!

Thanks to V For Vendetta, one of Alan Moore’s many overrated comic books, masks of Guy Fawkes have become associated with Moore’s fictional freedom fighter who opposed a theocratic dictatorship in a dystopic future.

In reality Guy Fawkes was plotting to enable the institution of a theocratic dictatorship. And you can’t claim Moore was trying to be ironic by going with a mask of Guy Fawkes. In one of his interviews about V For Vendetta Moore mentions how he and the artist he was collaborating with decided they would give Guy Fawkes “the image he always deserved.” Continue reading

MWINDO: EPIC MYTH OF AFRICA PART TWELVE

Balladeer’s Blog continues its examination of this epic myth of the Nyanga people.

PART TWELVE

aardvarkThe semidivine hero Mwindo briskly walked through the land of the dead, making his way to the hut in which the death-god Muisa had hidden his evil father Shemwindo. Mwindo would at last have his revenge on his father for his crimes against him and against their home village of Tubondo, which now lay in ruins back on the surface. Continue reading
