MUSLIM BOMBING ATTACK IN KANSAS THWARTED

Muslims peace and loveThe Religion of Blowing People to Pieces strikes again! Yes, it’s the homophobic, misogynistic and otherwise intolerant pack of superstitions called Islam. Muhammad Abdullah Hassan (formerly John T Booker, Jr) was charged with attempting to use a 1,000 pound bomb in a terror attack on Fort Riley in Kansas.

“Getting ready to be killed in a Jihad is a HUGE adrenalin rush” the murderous Muslim moron had quipped online according to CNN. Luckily this particular madman’s plot was thwarted. (My condolences for that go out to American Liberals, especially 1960’s Liberals, who feel that any dead victims of Muslim violence had it coming.)

As always let me point out that here at Balladeer’s Blog I trash ALL religions but you’d have to be a gutless hypocrite to pretend that Islam is not the most uncivilized, intolerant and violent religion in the world at this particular point in history.   Continue reading

MUSLIMS TRYING TO DENY THEIR GENOCIDAL ACTIONS DURING WORLD WAR ONE

Another of the courageous Muhammad drawings for the upcoming May 3rd Contest.

Another of the courageous Muhammad drawings for the upcoming May 3rd Contest.

Here in the Western Democracies we spring from the womb reaching for a microphone so we can vent about everything we find disgusting in our own nation’s past. I’ve always seen that as a virtue. We spend an enormous amount of effort forever examining and re-examining our past and masochistically thrashing ourselves for that past.

The Muslim World is the exact opposite. Their culture seems incapable of introspection or honest debate. The Muslim World is AT LEAST as guilty as the West when it comes to Colonialism – in fact Islam had spread through blood and conquest throughout Africa and Asia and various Pacific Island nations AND was involved in the African Slave Trade centuries before the much-maligned Western World ever got a foothold there. Not only that but the Muslim World remains active in the Slave Trade to this very day.

The inhumane and barbaric attitude that Islam has toward women is every bit as bad as slavery, too, and it’s an attitude the Muslim World maintains long after those allegedly “Patriarchal” Western Democracies have moved on to more enlightened times. Islam’s harsh treatment of ethnic and religious minorities within its own borders far exceeds the abuses of the Western World, too.

Refusing to let their history books reflect any of these facts has been a big weapon for Islam. Continue reading

THE ALL-NIGHT SHOW (1980-1981): THE PIONEERING CANADIAN CULT SHOW

Years before Night Flight, long before info-mercials had conquered the wee hours and more than a decade before Penn and Teller pretended to be late-night security guards hosting bad movies on Monster Vision, there was The All-Night Show.

In September of 1980 Toronto’s CFMT Channel 47 (Cable 4) launched The All-Night Show, which ran Monday through Friday from 2am to 6am, 1am to 6am on Saturdays. Chas Lawther earned a spot in Cult Valhalla by portraying CFMT’s Chuck the Security Guard, backed up by his never-seen sidekicks Errol Bruce and Michael Lennick playing Channel 47 cameramen Ryerson DuPont and P.B. Leonard. A young Jim Carrey did some voice work for the program during its lone year on the air. Jeff Silverman created and produced the show.

The show’s schtick was that Chuck, DuPont and Leonard would run their own pirate broadcast from CFMT’s facilities after the “real” station had gone off the air. Chuck and company would present bad and campy movies, music videos, cult t.v. shows and video oddities like old commercials, bizarre educational shorts and fragments of Canadian kitsch culture. Not only that but pitchmen could get air time on the show to hawk their new products, the more off-beat the better. Oddball comedy sketches and live phone calls were also part of The All-Night Show‘s regular segments.

Despite its comparatively short lifespan The All-Night Show has reached legendary status in Canada. The generation that caught the program when it was airing live are part of a very select club with an enviable claim to a certain “hipness beyond hip” status for getting to be there as it happened. One of those fans from the show’s actual run is the iconoclastic Canadian columnist Kathy Shaidle who blogs at  http://www.fivefeetoffury.com/    and is the author of Confessions of a Failed Slut, available at Amazon.

Kathy was kind enough to share some of her memories of The All-Night Show:

“When I was in high school The All-Night Show was a very big deal. Yeah, I was a weird kid, but fortunately I had a couple of almost-as- weird friends and sometimes they’d stay overnight to watch it with me.

“Even though we knew it was ‘fake’ the idea of a security guard taking over the TV station at night appealed to the rebel in us and all the other teenagers I knew were hooked on the show.   Continue reading

MALDOROR 2:6 – THE JUSTICE OFFERED BY THE LAW IS WORTHLESS

Balladeer’s Blog resumes its examination of the macabre 1868 French language work The Songs of Maldoror.

THE JUSTICE OFFERED BY THE LAW IS WORTHLESS

Tuileries gardens at nightThe supernatural being Maldoror, fresh off his sadistic murder of a 10 year old girl in the previous stanza, this time around turns his attentions on an 8 year old little boy. Our vile protagonist first spots the child sitting on a bench in the Tuileries Gardens. Maldoror sits down next to the boy and engages him in conversation.

The conversation consists of the monstrous figure peppering the child with questions about his beliefs and his dreams for the future as well as his barely-developed notions of right and wrong.  Continue reading

AINU GODS: THE THREE BROTHERS

AinuMy recent item about Ainu deities has proven so successful here’s a quick take on three of the lesser deities from the Ainu pantheon, the three brothers named Seremak, Urespa and Usapki.

SEREMAK – The patron god of vigor, vitality and general physical fitness. He had a flattened belly (“Six-Pack abs of the Gods!”), nine pairs of wings and wielded a sword and a spear made of mugwort. Continue reading

WHAT KIND OF SAVAGES BEHEAD PEOPLE FOR “WITCHCRAFT” IN THE 21st CENTURY?

Oh, yeah … Muslim savages. The Islamic State, spawned by Barack Obama’s premature withdrawal from Iraq, loves to practice the Muslim sacrament of beheading. They recently beheaded Palestinian refugees for some variety and have resumed beheadings on charges of “witchcraft and sorcery.” What a peaceful religion! Continue reading
