ASA COLLEGE AVENGER MOVES ON TO THE NFL
The ASA College Avengers football team has only been around for a handful of years but last year made their first Bowl appearance and now they’ve already gotten their first player into the NFL!
Gilbert Pena, standout defensive lineman for the Avengers, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the storied Green Bay Packers franchise. Pena is a Yonkers, NY native and delayed the start of his college career by 4 years to care for his mother as she battled cancer.

CYPRESS COLLEGE CHARGERS ARE 2013 CCCAA BASEBALL CHAMPIONS
The CYPRESS COLLEGE CHARGERS won the CCCAA baseball championship for the FIFTH time and the first time since 2003. Their opponents were the FULLERTON COLLEGE HORNETS, who led 1-0 after the 1st inning, the last time they would lead in the game. The Chargers put up multiple runs in the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 8th while giving up just 2 more runs themselves for a 10-3 victory.
