NJCAA2 ELITE EIGHT ACTION PLUS NCAA2 SCORES

sullivan county college generalsFINAL FOUR: FIRST BERTH – In this game the 3 seeds – the SULLIVAN COUNTY COLLEGE GENERALS – took on the 6th seeded CECIL COLLEGE SEAHAWKS.

The Seahawks put a scare into the Generals with their 44-39 Halftime lead. After the break, Sullivan County College outscored Cecil College 51-35 to win the game 90-79. Jalen Reneau tossed in 21 points to lead the Generals in scoring.  Continue reading

NCAA3 TITLE GAME, PLUS NJCAA2 ACTION

NCAA DIVISION THREE

randoph macon yellow jackets largeNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The RANDOLPH-MACON COLLEGE YELLOW JACKETS clashed with the ELMHURST UNIVERSITY BLUEJAYS for the D3 title.

This was a one-sided game dominated by the Yellow Jackets, who led 38-23 by Halftime, then left the Bluejays even further and further behind after the break. The final score was Randolph-Macon College 75  Elmhurst University 45. Josh Talbert’s Double-Double of 15 points and 11 rebounds led the Yellow Jackets, WHO LOST ONLY ONE GAME THE ENTIRE SEASON. * THE YELLOW JACKETS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NCAA DIVISION THREE *

NJCAA DIVISION TWO

parkland college cobras biggerCENTRAL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The PARKLAND COLLEGE COBRAS took the court against the JOHN WOOD COLLEGE BLAZERS.

A tale of two Halves was in store here, as the Cobras compiled a 49-26 advantage by the midpoint, only to be outscored by the Blazers 49-31 in the 2nd Half. Parkland College emerged with an 80-75 triumph led by 21 points from Savon Wykle. * THE COBRAS MOVE ON TO THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT * Continue reading

NJCAA3 CHAMPIONS CROWNED, NCAA3 FINAL FOUR

NCAA DIVISION THREE

elmhurst bluejaysFIRST SEMIFINAL – In this game the ELMHURST UNIVERSITY BLUEJAYS played the WABASH COLLEGE LITTLE GIANTS.

By Halftime the basketball machine which IS the Bluejays program was on top 48-34. After the break Elmhurst University left the Little Giants further and further behind on their way to a 90-68 triumph. Jake Rhode’s THIRTY-TWO points led the Bluejays. Continue reading

NJCAA FINAL FOUR AND NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT ACTION

NJCAA DIVISION THREE

North Lake College BlazersFIRST SEMIFINAL – The 4th seeded NORTH LAKE COLLEGE BLAZERS ended the Cinderella run of the 8 seeds – the ROCK VALLEY COLLEGE GOLDEN EAGLES.

At Halftime the Blazers were chasing Rock Valley College, who held a 31-28 edge. From there North Lake College came roaring back, ultimately winning the game by a final score of 66-65. Gregory Crawford led the Blazers with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Continue reading

NAIA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP PLUS NJCAA TOURNAMENT ACTION

Loyola WolfpackNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – Fighting it out for the 2022 title in the NAIA were the LOYOLA UNIVERSITY (LA) WOLFPACK and the TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES.

By Halftime the Wolfpack had managed a 36-21 advantage over their opponents. After the break Loyola U and the Tornadoes put up 35 points each, as the Wolfpack won out 71-56. Zach Wrightsil led Loyola with his Double-Double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while fellow Wolfpack player Myles Burns notched a Double-Double of his own with 17 points and 17 rebounds. * THE WOLFPACK ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS OF THE NAIA * 

NJCAA DIVISION THREE DISTRICT FINALS

eastfield-harvesters1SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – In this game the 2 seeds – the EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS – faced the top seeded NORTH LAKE COLLEGE BLAZERS.

The Harvesters put the Blazers on Upset Alert at the Half with their 33-28 lead. From there Eastfield College had to hold on by their fingertips against an NLC rally, emerging with an 84-83 triumph. Twenty-three points from Geontay Davis led the victors in scoring. * THE HARVESTERS MOVE ON TO THE NJCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT * Continue reading

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NJCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AND OTHER TOURNAMENT ACTION

NJCAA DIVISION THREE

Sandhills College FlyersNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This title tilt pitted the top seeds – the SANDHILLS COLLEGE FLYERS – against the 2nd seeded MOHAWK VALLEY COLLEGE HAWKS (should be the Mohawks). The Flyers were chasing the Hawks 50-47 at Halftime but came from behind in the 2nd Half to win the game 93-89. Sayaun Dent led Sandhills College with 27 points. * THE FLYERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE NJCAA DIVISION THREE TOURNAMENT *

NCAA DIVISION THREE

christopher newport universityROUND ONE: CNU VS CC – The CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY CAPTAINS did battle with the COLBY COLLEGE WHITE MULES. The Captains embarrassed the White Mules in the 1st Half, leading them 32-17 by the break. From there Christopher Newport University stayed out in front all the way for a 74-64 triumph. Adrian Beasley and Luther Gibbs led the Captains with 13 points each.

Yeshiva MaccabeesROUND ONE: WPI VS YU – In this game the YESHIVA UNIVERSITY MACCABEES played the WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE ENGINEERS. The Maccabees put up 51 points in each Half, leading the Engineers 51-30 at the midpoint, then winning by a Century Club-level score of 102-78. Ryan Turell notched FORTY-ONE points to lead Yeshiva University. Continue reading

BIBLE COLLEGE NIT CHAMPS CROWNED, PLUS NJCAA FINAL FOUR ACTION

Trinity Baptist College Eagles BIGNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – A tournament that was basically all chalk came to a close in the expected way – with the top seeded TRINITY BAPTIST COLLEGE EAGLES facing the 2 seeds – the BLUE LIGHTS COLLEGE OF APEX THOROUGHBREDS. The game was a real thriller, but in the end the Eagles outdid the Thoroughbreds for an 84-76 victory. * THE EAGLES ARE BIBLE COLLEGE NIT CHAMPIONS *

NJCAA DIVISION THREE

Sandhills College FlyersFIRST SEMIFINAL – The top seeds – the SANDHILLS COLLEGE FLYERS – took the court to tackle the 4th seeded ROCHESTER TECHNICAL COLLEGE YELLOW JACKETS. By Halftime the Flyers were clinging to a mere 37-36 edge but after the break they got a bit more separation from their opponents to win the game 84-76. BIBLE COLLEGE FINAL FOUR PLUS THE NJCAA TOURNAMENT ELITE EIGHT

blc-header-smallerFIRST SEMIFINAL – The 2 seeds – the BLUE LIGHTS COLLEGE OF APEX THOROUGHBREDS – took the court against the 3rd seeded APPALACHIAN BIBLE COLLEGE WARRIORS. The Thoroughbreds proceeded to fold, spindle and mutilate the Warriors. Appalachian Bible College never knew what hit them as Blue Lights College obliterated them by a Century Club-level score of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY to SIXTY-THREE!

Trinity Baptist College Eagles BIGSECOND SEMIFINAL – This game pitted the top seeded TRINITY BAPTIST COLLEGE EAGLES against the 4 seeds – the DAYSPRING BIBLE COLLEGE & SEMINARY EAGLES (Have I mentioned there are WAY too many college sports teams called Eagles?). This was another blowout, as Trinity Baptist College made Dayspring their prison brides, hammering them by a Century Club-level tally of ONE HUNDRED ONE to FORTY-THREE!

NJCAA DIVISION THREE

eastfield-harvesters1QUARTERFINAL ONE – The 3 seeds – the EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS – played the 11th seeded SAINT CLOUD TECHNICAL COLLEGE CYCLONES. The Harvesters were in charge all the way, parlaying a 47-35 Halftime lead over the Cyclones into a 96-63 triumph when all was said and done. COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NJCAA TOURNAMENT AND BIBLE COLLEGE NIT RESULTS

BIBLE COLLEGE NIT

Dayspring Bible College EaglesPLAY-IN GAME – In this game the 4 seeds – the DAYSPRING BIBLE COLLEGE & SEMINARY EAGLES – squared off against the 5th seeded WORD OF LIFE COLLEGE HUSKIES for the right to advance to the tournament proper. The Eagles were on top of the Huskies 40-33 come Halftime then got more separation from their opponents from there to win it 82-67. 

NJCAA DIVISION THREE

Herkimer Generals logo BIGDAY ONE: GAME ONE – The 8th seeded HERKIMER COLLEGE GENERALS took on the 9 seeds – the COLUMBUS (OH) STATE COUGARS. The Generals were chasing the Cougars 31-26 at the Half but regrouped in the locker room for a 61-58 comeback victory. Ty Desinor led Herkimer College with a Double-Double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Richland College Thunder ducksDAY ONE: GAME TWO – Next the 5 seeds – the RICHLAND COLLEGE THUNDERDUCKS – did battle with the 12th seeded COLLEGE OF RHODE ISLAND KNIGHTS. The dominant Thunderducks parlayed a 46-38 advantage over the Knights by the break into a 91-75 smackdown win. Donovan Souter tossed in 23 points to lead Richland College. Continue reading
