NCAA DIVISION THREE
FIRST SEMIFINAL – In this game the ELMHURST UNIVERSITY BLUEJAYS played the WABASH COLLEGE LITTLE GIANTS.
By Halftime the basketball machine which IS the Bluejays program was on top 48-34. After the break Elmhurst University left the Little Giants further and further behind on their way to a 90-68 triumph. Jake Rhode’s THIRTY-TWO points led the Bluejays.
SECOND SEMIFINAL – The RANDOLPH-MACON COLLEGE YELLOW JACKETS took the court against the MARIETTA COLLEGE PIONEERS.
This game was just as one-sided as the first one. The Yellow Jackets led the Pioneers 38-28 at the Half, then managed even more separation from Marietta College from there. Randolph-Macon College won by a final score of 81-63. Twenty-two points from Ian Robertson led the way for the Yellow Jackets.
NJCAA DIVISION THREE
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in this tournament were the 4 seeds – the NORTH LAKE COLLEGE BLAZERS – and the 2nd seeded GENESEE COLLEGE COUGARS.
The score was knotted up at 31-31 come Halftime, then Regulation ended in a 69-69 deadlock. In Overtime the Blazers grabbed their 4th national championship with an 83-80 victory. Gregory Crawford tossed in THIRTY-THREE points to lead North Lake College while his fellow Blazer Darion Jones notched a Double-Double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. * THE BLAZERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NJCAA DIVISION THREE *
