FRANCES BARBER SPEAKS OUT ABOUT MUSLIM MISOGYNY

Another woman with a backbone has spoken out about the misogyny and other outdated attitudes Islam carries with it. British actress Frances Barber publicly discussed her encounter with a Muslim man who flaunted his religion’s savage superstitions about women and how they should dress and conduct themselves.

I know it’s nowhere near as bad as the Muslim rape mobs who preyed on (at last count) over 1,000 women but it still underscores one of my points: Plenty of us stopped considering ourselves part of the political left because of the left’s cowardly and hypocritical refusal to show enough societal solidarity to make it clear to Muslim men that their backward views have no place in the multicultural free nations of the west.

Instead, here in America, Liberals constantly make excuses for Islam’s misogyny or even try to deny that it exists. And there’s also the skyrocketing number of Muslim women in America being forced by their parents to undergo Female Genital Mutilation. New York is the biggest problem area, so even the New York Times couldn’t ignore that issue.

ANOTHER ANCIENT GREEK THEATER UNEARTHED

Lefkada 2Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog are familiar with my obsession with ancient Greek comedies. A related story has hit the news – on the Ionian island of Lefkada a previously unknown ancient amphitheater was discovered recently.

The find is located on Koulmou hill and is being further excavated by the Lefkada and Aitoloakarnania Antiquities Ephorate. (On a side note, remember the Ephors of ancient Sparta?) So far digs in 13 areas have uncovered the theater’s rows of seats, the orchestra section and assorted walls. No surviving ancient sources refer to a theater in this area so ancient Greek stage geeks like me are in Dork Heaven right now!  Continue reading →

THE SCARLET AVENGER: FORGOTTEN SUPERHERO

Superheroes are dominating the box office these days and are well-represented on the small screen, too. Reaction to Balladeer’s Blog’s look at the forgotten MLJ superheroes has been so impressive I’m throwing in a bonus hero from MLJ.

Secret Identity: Jim Kendall

Origin: Jim Kendall, his wife and child were on board an airplane which was also transporting a shipment of gold bullion. A criminal gang tried to hijack the plane to get the gold and in the resulting mayhem the plane crashed near a remote mountain.

Kendall was the only survivor, his face paralyzed from the crash and never able to smile again. (Shades of the Avenger from Justice, Inc.) He vowed to wage war on the type of criminals who caused his wife and child’s death. Believed dead, Jim Kendall covertly used the fortune in gold bullion to finance his crusade against crime.  

First Appearance: Zip Comics # 1 (February 1940). His final Golden Age appearance came in late 1941.

The “vulnerable” Muslim community

Dortmund, Germany – What kind of savages stone people for being trannies here in the 21st Century? I think we all know … Muslim savages. I consider all religions to be ridiculous but only cowards and hypocrites pretend that Islam is NOT the most homophobic, misogynistic and otherwise intolerant religion in the world at this particular point in history.  

In Germany – where the horror of the Muslim rape mobs of New Year’s Eve still hasn’t worn off – three Muslim males were arrested for stoning two transgendered people. The Muslim males tried to justify their action by saying “such persons must be stoned” because that is what would happen to transgender people in the Muslim World.  

One of the victims was quoted referring to the attackers as “barbarians” so I’m sure American Liberals would indignantly demand that the victim should be forced to attend one of their reeducation seminars where they try to force people to embrace the hatred that Islam carries with it.

As always I’ll never be a Conservative but I feel contempt for Liberals because of the way they gutlessly refuse to provide enough societal solidarity to make it clear to Muslims that their many, many hatreds will not be acceptable in multicultural western democracies. Instead they run interference for the worst Muslims while ignoring courageous women like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and others who fight to end oppression of Muslim women by the Islamic Patriarchy. ROBERT DE NIRO TO STAR IN THE PORKY’S REBOOT

Yes, Balladeer’s Blog has another scoop! My sources in the industry – and by the industry I mean the business – have informed me that in keeping with his “you sign my paycheck and I’ll be in your movie” philosophy Robert De Niro will play the title character in the reboot of the teensploitation flick Porky’s.  

De Niro stated he wants to end his career as “the 21st Century Cameron Mitchell, y’know, one of those guys who are in so many movies they become a joke and their earlier, quality stuff gets forgotten. Ya gotta problem with that? I may appear in drag in my next movie. You don’t like it – don’t come see me, awright?”

Johnny Depp has signed onto the project to portray Pee Wee, the character with the notoriously small penis. At first Depp refused to even return the director’s calls but relented when promised he could play Pee Wee wearing weird hats and strange makeup. Continue reading →

ANOTHER HEROIC WOMAN WHO TAKES ON ISLAM

Alice SchwarzerGerman feminist Alice Schwarzer is the latest woman to denounce the gutless hypocrisy of the political left around the world when it comes to Islam’s barbaric treatment of women. Needless to say the political robots called Liberals now viciously denounce her for courageously breaking free of their herd mentality.

Accusations of (yawn) Islamophobia and racism (Islam is not a race) are being thrown at Schwarzer but she has a backbone and so she continues speaking out no matter how much the Political Correctness Police try to silence her. Alice’s latest activity is speaking out on behalf of the hundreds of victims of the Muslim rape mobs across Europe on New Year’s Eve. ESPECIALLY THE WAY THE POLITICAL MEDIA TRIES TO BURY THE STORY LEST ANYONE EYE ISLAM WITH SUSPICION.  

I’ll mention once again that so many of us who used to identify as Liberals have grown disgusted with Liberalism’s cowardice when it comes to criticizing Islam. It’s not just a religion – Islam is a fascist philosophy that marries religion to government.  Continue reading →

PELE AND HI’IAKA: EPIC OF HAWAII

Balladeer’s Blog begins a new serialized feature with this examination of the grand and exciting Hawaiian epic about the goddesses Pele and Hi’iaka.

PART ONE

On the Big Island of Hawaii the fire and volcano goddess Pele was relaxing with her younger sister Hi’iaka, the goddess of pathways and wayfarers. Hi’iaka was watching two Hawaiian women performing a Hula dance dedicated to Laka, the goddess of love, beauty and fertility and the deity who had invented Hula dancing. 

Despite Hi’iaka’s excited praising of the dancing girls’ talents Pele found herself bored by the proceedings and fell asleep. Laka, enjoying the dance and the traditional post-dance offerings to her, felt disrespected by Pele’s inattention. Using her powers as the goddess of love she sent a dream to the sleeping Pela – a dream that would have far-reaching consequences and forever change the relationship between the fire goddess and her sister Hi’iaka. ISLAM AND THE POLITICAL LEFT

Islam and liberalI always have to laugh at the pompous asses who pretend to be Liberals here in the 21st Century. They are anything BUT Liberal as evidenced by their fondness for censorship and for destroying the careers of people who express opinions they don’t like. The left is too lacking in self-awareness to even realize that THEY are the reason people regard Islam with suspicion.

People would have nothing against Islam IF it was treated the same way all other religions are treated, but everywhere Islam has spread in Europe formerly free societies wind up with Muslims tarnishing their host countries with their outdated worldview and barbaric treatment of women. AND IT IS ALWAYS THE LEFT SUPPORTING THEM IN DOING IT! (See the Rotherham Report and the Muslim gangs raping women throughout Europe on New Year’s Eve plus countless other examples.)
