Team Name: Terriers

Ragnar Says: Wofford hasn’t used this particular helmet design since the late 1980s. They’ve been using incredibly boring BLANK helmets instead. Now what kind of message does that send?

Team Name: Scotties

Ragnar Says: How can you not love this helmet? That handsome fellow is wearing his game face but still conveys what lovable and irresistable scamps we Terriers are. Continue reading

THE BEATLES: THE ROSEMARY ALBUM (DOUBLE-RECORD SET)

Beatles on SullivanToday marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show during their first trip to the United States. My older sister Rosemary is a very zealous Beatles fan and to mark this historic occassion she put together this layout for a fictional two-record set featuring what she feels are the Beatles’ best songs after their breakup. The terminal point was 1981 to include the release of John Lennon’s final album, which however means songs like George Harrison’s Got My Heart Set on You cannot be included.

THE ROSEMARY ALBUM

Side One

IMAGINE (John Lennon)

ALL THINGS MUST PASS (George Harrison)

MY LOVE (Paul McCartney)

PHOTOGRAPH (Ringo Starr)

WHAT IS LIFE (George Harrison)

For instance four-time Iditarod Champion Lance Mackey, known to my readers as “The Mad Musher”. Now over to Rosemary, after this reminder that the 2013 race will begin on March 3rd.

Rosemary: Did you ever wonder what it would be like to be alone in the Alaska wilderness…just you and maybe 18 well-trained sled dogs pulling your sled?  Well, I have.  I have been a fan and a follower of the Iditarod Race since the early 1990s and since around 2004 I’ve been able to virtually experience the thrills and spills of the race; admire the fortitude of the mushers and the Continue reading
