LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES AND BALLADEER’S BLOG

Two fools who prove that ANYBODY can get reelected and it doesn't prove they are competent.

Two fools who prove that ANYBODY can get reelected and it doesn’t prove they are competent.

Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog are familiar with my contempt for those walking caricatures called American Liberals and American Conservatives. My overseas readers in particular often leave comments and send emails telling me how refreshing it is to read a fresh perspective on American politics –  a perspective not guided by the simple-minded belief that members of one political faction are “the good guys” and the members of the other political faction are “the bad guys”.

My blog contains plenty of items that piss off both Liberals and Conservatives. Once again thank you to those of you who have stuck with me over these past 3 years and 9 months. The fact that you’re still here means you’re secure enough in your beliefs that you don’t leave in a huff just because you encounter something that offends you.

Which brings me to Continue reading

A SHOUTOUT TO BACKBONE

Typical Obama supporters - mindless and unquestioning fascists - are in sharp contrast to the spirited citizens of other countries

Typical Obama supporters – mindless and unquestioning fascists – are in sharp contrast to the spirited citizens of other countries

Welcome back to Balladeer’s Blog, the only site on the web that is truly nonpartisan in its criticism of American Liberals and American Conservatives. I just wanted to make a quick shoutout to the Ukraine where the people took to the streets and their Parliament, which has far more backbone than the United States Congress does, stayed true to their constituents and saw through the ouster of their abusive chief executive.

Even in Venezuela people are taking to the streets hoping to squeeze a little freedom out of their oppressive government so I’ll throw a shoutout their way, too. And maybe even a belated shoutout to the people of Egypt for refusing to accept Barack Obama’s stooge Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood.

That kind of dynamic activity is in stark contrast to the United States, where we Continue reading

REPORTERS WITHOUT BORDERS: UNDER OBAMA THE U.S. FALLS TO 46th IN THE WORLD FOR PRESS FREEDOM

"Sit down and shut up! My administration will tell you peons everything you need to know!"

“Sit down and shut up! My administration will tell you peons everything you need to know!”

Welcome back to Balladeer’s Blog, the only site on the web that truly criticizes Liberals and Conservatives equally. Reporters Without Borders has been publishing a yearly World Press Freedom Index since 2002. The press here in the United States has been leaned on so heavily by the Obama administration (an administration that Little Barry claimed would be noted for its “transparency”) that in just ONE YEAR the nation’s ranking on that index fell THIRTEEN PLACES. After getting safely reelected (like George W Bush and Richard Nixon did, too … see a pattern?) Obama’s administration apparently felt so secure they stepped up their war on press freedom; a war that even Huffington Post described as ” a dictator’s dream”.

Since Little Barry’s mindless, unquestioning and fascistic followers love to pretend that the only people who criticize their hollow little man are conservatives I will point out again for the sake of new readers that I am not a conservative. I outspokenly supported gay marriage YEARS before Obama gutlessly decided the issue was safe enough for his former opposition to it to “evolve” into support. I’m pro-choice, I oppose censorship, etc. The most repulsive lie that Barack “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” Obama has sold is the notion that speaking out about his abuse of his office is just a conservative thing.

So with a Continue reading

James Monroe5. JAMES MONROE – Motto: “I’m sick of hearing about how John Quincy Adams was the real author of The Monroe Doctrine” *** Nickname: The Furnituregate Mastermind *** Pro: Bought Florida from Spain, ensuring America would have a long, phallic peninsula dangling off our mainland.  Con: Got elected president despite being a slave-owner from Virginia … hey, wait a minute!

6. JOHN QUINCY ADAMS – Motto: “No slaves, no tact, no problem!” *** Nickname: Mr Television *** Pro: Was Continue reading

RELIGIOUS FANATICS AND POLITICAL FANATICS

gimp maskPolitical fanatics are every bit as repulsive as religious fanatics and they’re all determined to force the rest of us to live the way THEY think we should live. The major distinction is that religious fanatics like Muslims and Christians feel empowered to do so by their non-existent deities. On the political side American Liberal fanatics feel empowered to do so by their very real egos. Anybody who values their individuality and Continue reading
