I’m sure Democrats will be defending the CIA. The CIA’s very existence is incompatible with a free society. JFK wanted to “shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces” long ago. That was the right idea.

I was really torn about wanting to post on the CIA raid on Tulsi Gabbard. First, isn’t the CIA restricted from operating on American soil? Second, isn’t she their boss? Third, since President Trump issued an executive order touching those records, aren’t they breaking the law? (Law, law, law — who in the deep state cares about the law?)
You are correct about all that, but as we’ve seen in this age of “six ways to Sunday”, the 1970s hearings about CIA misdeeds might as well never have happened.
Regarding the final cartoon on the tension between Vlad and the anti-war movement in Russia, I read that the reason there was not the normal display of rockets at the May Day celebrations was that there were fears of drone attacks (those parades always use armed and ready-to-launch missiles).
