CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: The top seeded OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON and the 5 seeds – the CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS – were the last two teams standing in the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association). After a scoreless 1st Inning the Tigers went up 2-0 in the 2nd but the Bison cut that to a 2-1 edge in the 3rd.
The score was 3-2 with Campbellsville University on top to end the 4th Inning and the 5th saw the Tigers extend their lead to 6-2. Oklahoma Baptist University fought their way back to within 6-4 in the 6th and by the end of the 8th had knotted things up at 6-6. DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY MAVERICKS played the QUINCY UNIVERSITY HAWKS to start the 2nd day in the D2 World Series. The first 3 Innings were a Pitcher’s Duel with neither team scoring but the 4th ended with the Mavericks on top 2-1. The Hawks pulled ahead 3-2 in the 6th followed by Colorado Mesa University exploding in the 7th for 5 runs. It was all but over from there as the Mavericks took the game by a tally of 10-3 behind Pitcher Tyler Day.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: This was the Marathon Game of the Day and pitted the SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE SPARTANS against the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SAN DIEGO TRITONS. After 2 scoreless Innings the Spartans grabbed a 3-2 edge in the 3rd. The Tritons tied the score at 3-3 in the 5th Inning and that was still the count as the 9th Inning came to a close. Neither team scored in the 10th or 11th Innings but the top of the TWELFTH saw UC-San Diego go up 5-3. In the bottom of that Inning St Thomas Aquinas College drove in 3 runs for a 6-5 victory. DAY THREE, FIRST SEMIFINAL: The 5 seeds – the WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON COLLEGE PRESIDENTS – squared off against the 8th seeded ROANOKE COLLEGE MAROONS. An action-packed 1st Inning ended with the Presidents leading the Maroons 5-1. Washington & Jefferson College shut out Roanoke College the rest of the way while adding 3 more runs in the 2nd. The Presidents rode those runs to an 8-1 rout behind Pitcher Trevor Kerr.
DAY THREE, SECOND SEMIFINAL: Fighting for the other slot in the best-of-three Championship Series in D3 were the 3rd seeded CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY KINGSMEN and the 7 seeds – the NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE CARDINALS. The Kingsmen seized a quick 2-1 edge in the 1st Inning, which became a 3-2 score in the 3rd. The 4th Inning saw Cal Lutheran University stretch their lead out to 8-3 but the Cardinals cut it to an 8-5 game in the 5th. From there the Kingsmen added 2 more runs in the 6th Inning while the last hurrah for North Central College came with 3 runs in the 8th. Cal Lutheran held on for a 10-8 victory. Scott Roberts was on the mound for the Kingsmen.

DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The WALLACE COLLEGE AT DOTHAN GOVERNORS took the diamond against the COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN NEVADA COYOTES in this game. After 2 scoreless Innings the Coyotes managed a 1-0 edge only to see the Governors race past them for a 4-1 advantage in the 3rd. That became 7-1 in the 4th and the rout was on. The final score in this blowout was Wallace College at Dothan ELEVEN and College of Southern Nevada THREE. Ethan Michaelis (sic) pitched the entire game for the Governors.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: Up next the CROWDER COLLEGE ROUGHRIDERS faced the DYERSBURG STATE EAGLES. In the 1st Inning the Roughriders body-slammed the Eagles with a NINE to NOTHING lead. Crowder College was on top 10-2 in the 2nd and put more and more distance between themselves and Dyersburg State, ultimately decimating them to the tune of NINETEEN to NINE. Roughriders Pitcher Joey Cooner got the Win.
DAY TWO, GAME THREE: Wrapping up Day Three action was this clash between the MCLENNAN COLLEGE HIGHLANDERS and the FLORENCE DARLINGTON TECHNICAL COLLEGE STINGERS. A scoreless 1st Inning became another slaughter in the making as the Highlanders raced out to a 6-0 lead over the Stingers in the 2nd. An 8-1 advantage for McLennan College ultimately became a 10-1 triumph behind the pitching of Jase Embry.

DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The PHOENIX COLLEGE BEARS did battle with the SOUTHEAST (NE) COLLEGE STORM in this elimination game. The Storm grabbed a 2-0 edge in the 1st Inning which was cut to a 3-2 lead in the 2nd but then extended to a 10-6 advantage in the 3rd. By the 7th Inning the Bears had knotted things up at 10-10 and 11-11 in the 8th. Phoenix College went on to win the game by a Polo Score of 13-11 with Pitcher Ben Aklinski picking up the Save.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: This game pitted the LANSING COLLEGE STARS against the MURRAY STATE (OK) AGGIES (should be the Okies). In the 2nd Inning the Stars went on top 2-0 but the Aggies made it a 2-2 deadlock in the 3rd. The 5th Inning saw Lansing College up 6-3 and the 7th ended with their lead just 7-5. Each team added 4 runs in the 9th Inning as the Stars won it 11-9. Justin Steele was awarded the W.
DAY TWO, GAME THREE: The KANKAKEE COLLEGE CAVALIERS did battle with the HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES in the closest NJCAA2 game of the day. The Cavaliers led 2-0 in the 1st Inning and 2-1 in the 2nd before the Eagles tied the game 3-3 in the 3rd. In the 4th Inning Kankakee College went up 6-3 but the 7th saw Hinds College take a 7-6 lead. The Cavaliers added 1 run each in the 8th and 9th Innings for an 8-7 victory. Waylon Richardson threw for the win.
DAY TWO, GAME FOUR: Bringing an end to Day Two here was a rumble between the PARKLAND COLLEGE COBRAS and the UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT AT AVERY POINT POINTERS. A 2-2 tie in the 1st Inning became a 6-2 lead for the Cobras in the 4th. The Pointers pulled to within 6-5 in the 5th Inning but Parkland College drove in 2 more runs in the 8th, riding them to an 8-5 triumph. Pitcher Jarrett Olson got the Save.

DAY TWO, GAME ONE: Division Three’s second day got started with the NORTHAMPTON COLLEGE SPARTANS facing the SURRY COLLEGE KNIGHTS. After 2 scoreless Innings the Knights mustered a 1-0 edge in the 3rd followed by the Spartans tying the game at 1-1 in the 4th. That became a 2-2 tie in the 6th Inning and a 3-2 Northampton lead in the 7th. The Spartans exploded for 5 runs in the 8th and rode those to an 8-2 win with Pitcher Brendon Caraway registering the Save.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: Up next the DELTA COLLEGE PIONEERS took on the PRINCE GEORGE’S COLLEGE OWLS. Neither team scored until the 3rd Inning, when the Owls took a 2-0 advantage. The Pioneers tied the score at 2-2 in the 4th Inning then went on top 5-2 in the 5th. The 7th Inning ended with Delta College leading by a count of 6-3 and from there Prince George’s College mustered just 1 more run. The Pioneers nabbed a 6-4 victory behind the pitching of Tyler Kirkwood.
DAY TWO, GAME THREE: The CUMBERLAND COUNTY COLLEGE DUKES played the storied CENTURY COLLEGE WOOD DUCKS. The Wood Ducks seized a 3-1 lead in the 1st Inning and that became a 5-3 edge in the 3rd. The Dukes made their move in the 4th Inning, pulling to within 5-4 then knotting things up at 5-5 in the 5th. Cumberland County College added additional runs in the 6th and 8th Innings on the way to a 9-6 win. Carlos Solis was the triumphant Pitcher.
DAY TWO, GAME FOUR: The last game of the day in these divisions was this clash between the defending champion TYLER COLLEGE APACHES and the NIAGARA COUNTY COLLEGE THUNDER WOLVES. The Apaches put up a quick 1-0 1st Inning edge before the game settled into a Pitcher’s Duel. At last, in the 6th Inning the Thunder Wolves made it a 1-1 tie. Tyler College managed 3 more runs in the 8th and rode them to a 4-1 victory. Pitcher Taylor Broadway picked up the Save.
