BRAVE FORMER MUSLIM WOMAN NONIE DARWISH

Nonie Darwish

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** Nonie Darwish, a woman braver than any shallow American celebrities.

Nonie Darwish is a former Muslim of Egyptian descent and has authored several books critical of Islam’s refusal to join the modern world. Naturally she has faced the usual death-threats and attacks inflicted on other former Muslims or Muslims who seek reform of their faith. Nonie’s courage is in stark contrast to the usual American Liberal cowardice – most recently Wingate University’s cancellation of her scheduled speaking appearance.

As Balladeer’s Blog often points out, the political robots of American Liberalism try their best to impose a blackout on heroic activists like Nonie Darwish and so many other women. That’s because the Democratic Party panders ONLY to Muslims who hate the Western World and who want to live in the past.

Wingate used one of the favorite methods of silencing women (especially Muslim women) who criticize Islam’s misogyny, homophobia and overall intolerance: they claimed there were “security concerns” because of students who complained about the title of Darwish’s talk – Why Terrorists Hate America and the West. Wow. How upsetting that title must have been for the delicate little darlings.

This is another example of why so many of us who will NEVER be Conservatives have still grown to despise American Liberals. The Democratic Party welcomes terrorist-linked CAIR representatives to the White House but critics of Muslim intolerance can get no hearing.

PRINCE DIES AT AGE FIFTY-SEVEN

Prince Dirty MindThe singer and musician Prince is dead. Since I like to be different I figured I would post a pic of his work titled Dirty Mind instead of the bigger hits that everyone else is featuring.

And yes, if you’re new to Dirty Mind the song When You Were Mine is the same piece later covered by Cyndi Lauper. Meanwhile Head created a minor radio controversy and Sister (a song about incest) created a major radio controversy.  Continue reading

The symbol of the nonexistent Balladeer Political Party

*** Aaron Black, formerly of Occupy Wall Street, joined Balladeer’s Blog in hoping for the emergence of a viable alternative party consisting of working class voters from both the political left and the political right.

*** The Media Insight Project’s latest poll showed results indicating that only SIX PERCENT of the American public believe the media can be trusted to tell the truth. In a related story the six percent of people still foolish enough to trust the media said they would probably still vote for Obama twice. (Well, that goes without saying …) Continue reading

KHONG LO: VIETNAMESE GOD

Vietnam mapKHONG LOThis god was the primordial giant who separated the sky and the Earth, setting up columns to help support the sky similar to many other such deities in other pantheons. His breath is the wind and his voice the thunder.

When he saw that the propping up of the sky had “taken” he broke off the uppermost portions of the support columns and transformed them into stars in the sky (or in some myths into various mountain peaks or islands). Where he had dug out the Earth to build the columns oceans were formed. YET ANOTHER FORMER LIBERAL DISGUSTED WITH THE LEFT

old hippy

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** It’s always 1967 to a large segment of the American Left.

Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog know how useless and outdated I find the old labels “Liberal” and “Conservative” to be. I considered myself a Liberal back before American Liberals adopted their motto “Islam: Right or Wrong.”

Michael Faraday (NOT pictured) is another in the long line of people that the increasingly demented political left has driven away. So here are some more reflections from somebody else who became disgusted with the complacent and self-infatuated left – especially the close-minded classroom liberals of the 1960s generation that Faraday came from:

“For the millions raised as leftists, it is not an ideology; it is a culture. Since childhood, they have lived and breathed it every day in the home. They know nothing else. Like any culture, it is a way of speaking, thinking and acting, with its own narratives and rituals. Narratives are held sacred, repeated, reinforced and, over time, added to. That which challenges sacred narratives, even reality itself, is met with confusion and hostility.”

“Leftists combine child-like naïveté and paranoid aggression in all of their narratives. It is a remarkable and very damaging pairing. The child-like naïveté protects the narrative from facts while the paranoid aggression protects the mind from doubt.”

“It (21st century liberalism) harnesses together childish emotions and paranoid thought processes. Its narratives are a filter that reality has to try to struggle through, often failing. The child-like thinking solves all problems without pesky details and facts interfering, leading to delusions of intellectual brilliance.” (Balladeer: Especially true of American Liberals

THE VICTIMS OF MUSLIM VIOLENCE ARE THE REAL “VULNERABLE” ONES

Islam and toleranceNo community is “vulnerable” when they can inflict their own superstitions and bigotries on the larger culture around them. It’s always the height of hypocrisy for the American Left to pretend they care about peaceful Muslims when all of their political actions are tailored to empower ONLY the most violent and backward elements of the Muslim “community.”
