It’s astounding that denying non citizens voting in any election at the local, state, or federal level and any government services like welfare and public schools is even controversial. Thirty years ago in the 1990s Clinton, who also used the ‘racist’ Confederate flag in his campaign, was on board with deportations and being careful about who was allowed into the country and all without dumb racism accusations.
There was story a while ago about one of the Carolina states where the schools were consolidating because most of the illegals had left. The people paying the taxes were happy that they left though I’m sure the corporate farms miss their cheap labor.
I agree. The fact that not enforcing immigration laws has become the hill to die on for so many politicians boggles the mind. They conveniently ignore the way so many of their own fellow party members used to openly oppose illegal immigration.
It should be investigated whether or not the Democrats have been receiving money from the drug cartels. That would explain a lot. And I don’t want to hear any whining from the people who voted for Zohran Mamdani.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they are getting cartel money. And yes, I don’t know what New Yorkers thought they would get from Mamdani if not this.
