Regular readers of Independent Voter Site Balladeer’s Blog may recall that one of the things I laugh about the loudest is the way that both major political parties in America overreact to off-year elections. Last night’s results would be news if places that voted for Trump in 2024 suddenly voted for Democrats. That didn’t happen. Areas that voted for Kamala Harris last year are still voting Democrat.

I can’t see the link on the Dem vs Rep media outlets. However, (1) the Dem have not run out of money from USAID and other NGO money making schemes taken from the American public, (2) quantity is not quality and (3) what are the ratings of all those outlets, (4) do they include new media like podcasts, video outlets and content platforms and (5) one would have to see the research, assumptions and stats.
Party leadership can be poor all around. They want $$$, power and influence.
Hello! Thanks for the comment! Just as I count One America News, Fox, Newsmax, Daily Wire, etc as Republican outlets, I count MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, etc are Democrat outlets. Even the breakdown of political affiliation of the “reporters” (LOL) who work for them is indicative of that. In the past 15 years I’ve posted many, many items regarding this. Like this one those links should all still be around.
2. It’s not a question of quality over quantity. It’s a question of how the Democrats and their outlets wisely flood the country with their take on political and cultural issues but the Republicans have failed to keep up with them. This is why for decades now the Democrats have – outside of Trump – controlled the national discussion on everything. Not being hostile, but this is a recurring theme here at my blog and each time I mention it I provide a link to one of the articles or pieces of research with statistics. I don’t re-post those links in every single blog post on the topic of which media outlets are Democrat and which are Republican.
Again, not being hostile but I was a Democrat much of my life but that political party has become so far gone they are intolerant, violent and irrational. I’m amazed at this point if there are still people who think that Democrat outlets have given Trump or his supporters fair treatment. I can’t help anybody who still feels that way after the past 10 years. That’s why I always say no media outlets are objective, they favor one party or the other, it’s just that Democrats saturate the airwaves. People flipping channels will hit several channels pushing the Democrat talking points but very few pushing the opposition party’s points. I will say again, no hostility intended by this. There are entire organizations out there tracking such issues, like Newsbusters for the Reps and MediaMatters for the Dems.
I also spent the first several years of my blog blasting both parties all the time. Eventually, we reached a time where one party – the Democrats – became so abhorrent I left them to become an Independent Voter. As crazed and violent as the Democrats are right now I decided to stop pretending “both sides are just as bad” because they simply aren’t right now.

Regarding the paragraph on Boasberg (and considering the way General Flynn lost his entire savings defending himself against the FBI before being sent to prison), does it seem fair that the only punishment for Boasberg is that he gets a pink slip?
Of course, that pink slip is conditional on how many Democrats and Rinos there are in the Senate to defend his actions and refuse to impeach him. Otherwise, all he gets for breaking the law is a public shaming.
Yep. But Democrats are known for fighting much harder than Republicans ever do so that may be all that happens.
At this point I’ll need to see if anything at all happens to any of them.

I spent some time yesterday calling and emailing the offices of Sen. Mark Kelly, Sen. Ruben Gallego, and the DNC, asking them to end the shutdown, stop lying to the American people, starving people, endangering people’s lives, and making people suffer. It’s all a power play.
