We need a NEW something. But. Yep. I was a Democrat most of my life and come from a family that was Democrat going back generations to FDR. 21st Century Democrats are intolerant fascists who proudly support totalitarian measures that the party used to pretend to oppose. I’ve always been an independent and that has never been a problem until the last 6 years or so. I have had to block people on social media because they lost their freaking mind. They actually came on my page and started insulting people they disagreed with. My friends were always in both sides of the aisle. Unfortunately one side of the side demonizes those not in lock step with them in every issue.
I know how you feel. I have friends on both sides of the aisle, too, and it’s true that the side that preaches “tolerance” and pretends to oppose “hate” is really the source of nothing but intolerance and hatred now.
