NAVAJO EPIC MYTH: THE WAR GOD VS THE ANAYE

Nayanazgeni, the Navajo god of war.

Readers have been asking for a Chapter Guide to my exhaustive examination of God Slayer, my title for the Navajo myth about Nayanazgeni, their god of war, and his quest to destroy the Alien Gods called the Anaye. Here it is:

I. BIRTH OF THE ANAYE – This chapter deals with the Separation Myth and how Navajo women’s unnatural sex acts (or liasons with Coyote or possibly Begochidi) spawned the dark, alien gods called the Anaye – click HERE

II. WHEN A GOD DIES – Nayanazgeni (“Alien God Slayer”) notches his first kill as he takes down a gigantic, double-headed Anaye who rides upon a Kaiju-sized cougar – click HERE   

III. VISIONS OF THE SPIDER GODDESS – The war god and his brother set out on a quest to meet their father, the sun god Tsohanoai, and encounter the Spider Goddess – Naste Estsan – who foresees the dangers of their upcoming journey and bestows upon them magical implements to aid them- click HERE   

IV. PERILS OF THE JOURNEY – Nayanazgeni and his brother battle their way through multiple supernatural menaces as they try to reach their father’s house in the west – click HERE  

V. IN THE HOUSE OF THE SUN GOD – The war god and his brother succeed in reaching the floating square house of Tsohanoai, the sun god, and meet his spirit wives, his divine court of attendant deities and pass various physical and mental ordeals to prove they are worthy sons. Click HERE   

VI. THE TRAVELING STONE SERPENT – Nayanazgeni and his brother are transported home by their father and engage in battle with another of the Anaye – an enormous stone serpent which bleeds water. Click HERE  

VII. CLOUD SWALLOWER – Nayanazgeni goes it alone against Deelgeth – a gigantic Anaye who is laying waste to an entire region. Click HERE   

VIII. THE THUNDERBIRDS – Nayanazgeni single-handedly takes on a male and female Thunderbird as well as their many hatchlings. Click HERE   

IX. CLIFFDWELLER – The god of war makes his way down from the heights of the Thunderbirds’ nest and encounters a bizarre cannibalistic Anaye. Click HERE   

X. THE GODS WITH LIGHTNING EYES – Nayanazgeni pays a visit to the Salt Goddess before battling the subterranean Anaye known as the gods with lightning eyes. Click HERE   

XI. THE BEAR WHO PURSUES – The war god travels to the far north, where he encounters the goddess of cold weather and clashes with a Kaiju-sized polar bear. Click HERE     

XII. GOD OF THE GREAT SALT LAKE – Nayanazgeni at last locates and attacks the Chief Anaye, Yeitso, in his home at the Great Salt Lake. Click HERE    

XIII. XENOGENOCIDE – The god of war needs the help of his father, brother and mother to overcome the numberless army of new Yeitso’s that have been spawned from his blood. Click HERE
