THE FOUR MOST DARING MOVIES AND TV SHOWS OF 2015

Here at Balladeer’s Blog I like to save up my lists about highlights of the year until after the year is officially completed. Here’s a look at the most truly irreverent and iconoclastic pieces of entertainment from the year just past.

"I come from a long line of slave-owning scumbags."

“I come from a long line of slave-owning scumbags.”

ROOTS 3: THE BEN AFFLECK STORY – This was a fascinating look at how involved Ben’s ancestors were in the slave trade AND about his heavy-handed attempts to get his family’s history of slave-owning censored from a PBS documentary.

In the movie titled Roots 3: The Ben Affleck Story, Affleck was quoted as saying “I learn a few lines for movies and that makes me above you commoners. My role in life is giving finger-wagging lectures to the peons. I should be above the humiliation of being exposed as the scion of a repulsive family of slave-owners. … That’s off the record, by the way.”

Disgraced "journalist" (LMAO) Sabrina Rubin Erdely

Disgraced “journalist” (LMAO) Sabrina Rubin Erdely

ANIMAL HOUSE: 2015 – A hard-hitting satire about Sabrina Erdely’s agenda-driven travesty of reporting. Ignoring all concepts of independent verification Erdely and the Rolling Stone magazine’s editors set themselves up for the lawsuits they are now facing over their false rape accusations against a fraternity at the University of Virginia.

Take a look at what passes for journalism in 21st Century America as “the narrative” is all that matters to cold, unfeeling propogandists who destroy lives and reputations with little regard for the facts.

Bow-tied scientist impersonator Bill Nye.

Bow-tied scientist impersonator Bill Nye.

BILL NYE THE DELUSIONAL GUY – This zany comedy proved that even though Nye is remembered as the least talented member of the Almost Live cast he can laugh at himself as well as William Shatner can.

The show pokes fun at his pompous blowhard image ever since he started pretending he was a real scientist just because he played one on tv. The failed comedian tries his hand at surgery and kills the patient, tries flying a plane and crashes, then tries to design a video game and utterly fails.

Affleck as the costumed superhero the Defender of the Faith.

Affleck as the costumed superhero the Defender of the Faith.

THE BEN AFFLECK SHOW: DEFENDER OF THE FAITH – A dark comedy series depicting the noted enabler of Muslim intolerance, Ben Affleck, as Haven Monahan, who is secretly the superhero called the Defender of the Faith. That costumed figure is so gung-ho about helping Muslim terrorism that he beats up anyone who tries to interfere with Islamofascist violence.

The debut episode ignited a nationwide controversy with its depiction of Affleck’s masked figure beating up the heroic people who stopped that Muslim terror attack in the Paris underground last August. In the program’s alternate reality Dhimmi Ben subdued the heroes, allowing the terrorist attack to succeed.
