DAY ONE – GAME ONE – The 10 seeds – the VANGUARD UNIVERSITY LIONS – started the day against the 7th seeded LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS. In the 4th Inning the Lions took a 1-0 lead then followed that up in the 8th Inning with 2 runs to the 1 notched by the Blue Raiders. The final score was Vanguard University 3 Lindsey Wilson College 1. Pitcher Sean Isaac went 9 Iron Man Innings for the Lions.
DAY ONE – GAME TWO – Up next the 8th seeded CONCORDIA (CA) EAGLES (should be the Condors) took on the 9th seeded SAINT THOMAS (FL) UNIVERSITY BOBCATS. A 1-1 tie in the 1st Inning became a 6-1 advantage for the Eagles in the 3rd. From there the rout was on, with Concordia absolutely trouncing the Bobcats to the tune of 12-2. Isaiah Terrazas threw for the win.
DAY ONE – GAME THREE – This game pitted the 6 seeds – the EMBRY- RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Aeronauts) – against the 3rd seeded TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS. The Eagles went up 2-0 in the 2nd Inning then scattered more runs throughout the remainder of the game. The Blue Jays scored just 1 lone run in the 7th as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University went on to upset them in a 9-1 buttkicking. Stetson Nelson was the winning Pitcher.
DAY ONE – GAME FOUR – Closing out Day One was this game between the 4th seeded LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS and the 5th seeded DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Warriors led the game 2-1 to end the 2nd. The Panthers made it a 2-2 tie in the 5th but got shut out by Lewis-Clark State the rest of the way. The Warriors won the game by a score of 6-2. Beau Kerns got credit for the win.
