CAL BAPTIST LANCERS REPEAT AS NCCAA WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS

calbaptist lancersYesterday the top seeded defending champions of NCCAA Division One  baseball, the CALIFORNIA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY LANCERS, took their second national championship in a row. Their opponents were the 5th seeded SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE and though there was a lot of riveting baseball throughout the rest of the NCCAA College World Series the championship game was kind of anticlimactic.

The Lancers wound up winning by a score of 7-0, leaving the only real question yesterday being whether or not Cal Baptist can make it a Threepeat next year. In the NCCAA Division Two this year Toccoa Falls College did just that. Congratulations to the Lancers! Balladeer’s Blog will continue its coverage of the postseason in the NAIA, in the NCAA Divisions 2 and 3 plus all 3 divisions of NJCAA baseball!
