According to Gallup FORTY-TWO PERCENT of Americans now prefer to call themselves “Independent” voters (like yours truly) rather than claim affiliation with either the Democratic or Republican Parties.
No surprise. Those two parties are just rival gangs of white-collar criminals who spend their careers barely one step ahead of a criminal indictment yet they consider themselves fit to lecture the rest of us on how we should think and feel.
BOTH parties are at a record low in terms of people claiming affiliation with them, but in typical fashion Democratic Party outlets are only hyping the Republicans’ low figures and Republican Party outlets are only hyping the Democrats’ low figures. Continue reading

GALLUP POLL: RECORD NUMBER OF AMERICANS NOW REJECT PARTY LABELS
It’s no secret that the Democratic and Republican Parties are nothing more than two rival gangs of white collar criminals. This is what has been driving so many Americans to reject either party label and to proclaim themselves Independent voters. Even the latest Gallup Poll has caught up with this reality.
The number of respondents defining themselves as Independent grew to 46% in the final quarter of 2013 but averaged 42% for all of that calendar year. The Gallup analysts elaborated on the obvious by saying that these results reflected “an outgrowth of Americans’ record or near-record negative views of the two major U.S. parties” and their “low level of trust in government more generally.”
