I was on Facebook yesterday reading comments about student loan debt forgiveness. Roughly half were in favor of it and half were against (including myself.) The people for it could give no logical reason for supporting it other than a “feel good” high and had no clue about the consequences of Biden’s actions. The people who were against it laid out logical and rational arguments. Here’s the problem in America, the public school system, and our college system: lack of common sense and critical thinking skills; a high level of mental illness in this country; lack of values and solid education; people always trying to stick it to others and get something for nothing; rewarding failure instead of success; a philosophy of “if it feels good, do it”; too many people getting rich off of dumb, ignorant people.
I agree. Smug virtue signaling with no depth behind it.
