ADRIAN, MI REGION, DAY ONE: The top seeds – the DENISON UNIVERSITY BIG RED – took on the 4th seeded LA ROCHE COLLEGE REDHAWKS and shut them out 4-0.    ###     And the 2nd seeded HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY STUDENT PRINCES won a 4-3 game for the ages over the 3 seeds – the ADRIAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS.

CORTLAND, NY REGION, DAY ONE: The top seeded CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS did battle with the 4 seeds – the ALVERNIA UNIVERSITY GOLDEN WOLVES – and defeated them 7-3.    ###     And the 3 seeds – the TUFTS UNIVERSITY JUMBOS – folded, spindled and mutilated the 2nd seeded PENN STATE AT HARRISBURG LIONS by a final count of THIRTEEN to FIVE.   

BALTIMORE, MD REGION, DAY ONE: The 4 seeds – the SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY RIVER HAWKS – toppled the top seeded COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY LIONS in a 5-4 Instant Classic of an Upset.    ###     And the 2nd seeded JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY BLUE JAYS downed the 3 seeds – the FARMINGDALE STATE RAMS – in a 6-2 affair.

BOSTON, MA REGION, DAY ONE: The top seeded UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS AT BOSTON BEACONS utterly annihilated the hapless 4 seeds – the BARUCH COLLEGE BEARCATS – in a FIFTEEN to ONE laugher.    ###     Meanwhile the 2 seeds – the WHEATON (MA) COLLEGE LYONS (sic) won a 9-3 game against the 3rd seeded SAINT JOSEPH’S COLLEGE OF MAINE MONKS.

SALISBURY, MD REGION, DAY ONE: In the 3 spot – the WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON COLLEGE PRESIDENTS – managed a 4-1 Upset of the 2nd seeded SALISBURY UNIVERSITY SEA GULLS.    ###     And the top seeded ROWAN UNIVERSITY PROFS made the 4 seeds – the PENN STATE AT ABINGTON NITTANY LIONS – their prison brides to the tune of EIGHTEEN to TWO! 

GORHAM, ME REGION, DAY ONE: The 4th seeded NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE PILGRIMS engineered an authoritative 10-2 Upset of the top seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MAINE HUSKIES.    ###     Meanwhile the 3 seeds – the MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERS upset the 2nd seeded OSWEGO STATE LAKERS in a 5-4 epic of the diamond.

TRINITY, CT REGION, DAY ONE: The 2 seeds – the TRINITY (CT) COLLEGE BANTAMS – served up an 11-3 beatdown of the 3rd seeded SALVE REGINA UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS.     ###     And the top seeded BABSON COLLEGE BEAVERS wound up defeating the 4 seeds – the KEYSTONE COLLEGE GIANTS – by a final score of 7-3.

WHITEWATER, WI REGION, DAY ONE: The Region’s top seeded WEBSTER UNIVERSITY GORLOKS humiliated the 4 seeds – the BETHANY LUTHERAN COLLEGE VIKINGS – in an 11-2 rout.    ###     Meanwhile the 2 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT WHITEWATER WARHAWKS – hammered the 3rd seeded NORTH CENTRAL (IL) CARDINALS 9-2.

WOOSTER, OH REGION, DAY ONE: The 2 seeds – the CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY SPARTANS – won a 4-2 thriller against the 3rd seeded OTTERBEIN UNIVERSITY CARDINALS.    ###    And the 4th seeded UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER YELLOW JACKETS toppled the top seeds – the COLLEGE OF WOOSTER SCOTS – by a score of 2-1.
