Yesterday was Day Two of the College World Series in Division One of the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association).
The top seeded defending champions, the CALIFORNIA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY LANCERS, are 4-0 in Series play this year after notching another pair of victories yesterday. First they smacked down the 9th seeded OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES by a score of 11-4, then won a much closer 3-1 affair against the 4 seeds, the MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS.
OCU then bounced back with a 5-2 upset of the 8th seeded CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY YELLOW JACKETS. Cedarville had dropped a 1-0 pitcher’s duel with the 5th seeded SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE earlier in the day.
The 2 seeds, the CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS, also remained unbeaten in 2013 Series play. The Tigers took down the 10th seeded COVENANT COLLEGE SCOTS 5-3, then eked out a slender 4-3 win over the 3rd seeded ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM. The Scots followed up that loss by getting clobbered 8-0 by the 7th seeded EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY LIONS.
Emmanuel had lost a 2-1 nailbiter to the 6 seeds, the OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY TIGERS, earlier in the day.
NCCAA baseball sucks!
Your mother and sisters don’t think so!
Your article is very interesting, keep in that way.
I’d like my son to play for one of these teams!
I hope he gets the chance!
Love to see these divisions get some attention!
I’m glad to do it!
My foreseeable future in laws!!! They make a adorable pair you should not they?!?!?
